  • Ah a big squishy hug from one of my flylady friends. What could be better on Christmas Eve. The hug is being passed on to anyone else in need.

I am definitely run down and in need of a rest. Not sure what else I can do to overcome these bugs that seem determined to floor me.

Pigpen grrr. Things aren't bliddy easy for you at the best of times and you think they could all pitch in and help a bit. Sigh. Wish you were my neighbour, I would be round there to help.

LW you speak wise words as ever, and you are an inspiration to us all. OH, myself and DS2 have coughs and colds to some degree and DS1 is up and down with the Crohn's BUT we can still have a good Christmas and we have a lot to be thankful for.

Going to feed everyone with meatballs and pasta (nibbles later) then make the dining table look pretty for tomorrow and wrap a couple of last pressies.

We looked too, HB, and think we may have seen Santa too, but the cloud is a bit patchy and there's a bloomin' great hill in the way at one point. Right timing and direction, though :)

Dh is settling down for a doze so I'll pop round to my friend's in a minute. Just need to wrap here DGD's present first!

Sorry about your sad news too, gilly. Keep the happy memories alive.

Glad your children have started to see sense, pigpen.
  • Just popped in to wish everyone a merry Christmas. We are all ready here just waiting for kids bed time so I order takeaway and be Santa lol lets hope I can remember all the hiding places lol

    MAJOR strop had.

I have no decorations up, no tree, no advent calendars.. nothing!!

I asked DD3 (14) to put away some laundry well you'd think I'd asked her to dissect herself with a spoon!!! SO... I have had a MAJOR tantrum f***ed the whole crap off.. if they don't want Christmas then fine by me I feel about as festive as a fish.. They do sod all and I am utterly pee'd off with everything, everyone and just want them all to go away.

Helped of course by the threats from KH as usual and the 3 littlies being very naughty. I'm in pain after almost breaking my ankle yesterday falling over their crap left on the floor.

Is it really too much to expect these to help? at 14, 15, 17, 18 and 33???

Absolutely furious and I should be wrapping but I don't think I can trust OH or anyone to do a thing while I am upstairs other than make more mess for me to clear away.

((((Hugs)))) Pigpen. If it wasn't for my 18 year old son who has been a tower of strength to me today I'd have cancelled Christmas myself.

So did we HB!!! We were on the prom and it was blowing a gale and b... freezing!!! At least we can say we saw it/him!!

'twas better than earlier today though when we went unknowingly for a walk at high tide and had to leg it over the sea defence wall!!!! Not sure why just the one flood defence gate was open at the top of the main street!!
