Letter from Car insurance - claim

Didnt you say they had you registration number and a name/address of the driver ? in which case they must have exchanged details how else could they have a name/address ? soon as they contact the driver he should be able to give them his correct registration.
There really isnt anything else to say until you get more details of the accident why you dont just call the company that sent you the letter I really dont know.
Im even starting to think this is a wind up now
My insurer said that they have different name and address..but i think they can say whatever they want to say..i think it is a lie. Yesterday with your help i realized that i'm suspectedAt least i know where i'm. I'm sure that they will drop claim after they inspect my car - case closed and that's it no info no details..It's very good that i send request for all detailed information by post by special delivery...Might be that someone sitting there and guessing reg plates which been involved in that accident..if its that case, so who know how many people are involved in it right now...

You are contractually obliged to inform your insurer of any claims anyway, so the value of this claim is unknown I would play very safe indeed.
If you dont, you may find your insurance terminated with 7 days notice.
than you for your response.
Please read more before suggesting somethingbut thank you.

Your insurer would lose money if they just accepted a claim against your policy when you were not involved, why would they lie about that - they would have nothing to gain and someone could lose their job if caught.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Have you actually called covea insurance LTD and asked them for the full details yet ? sure would put your mind at ease if they told you it was 100 miles away with different coloured car, all the liason with your own insurance is just to cover yourself and will most likely get this sorted eventually but the quickest way would be to talk to covea insurance LTD direct to point out the mistake and with luck put you mind at ease so you can enjoy the holiday0

Easily resolved problem..they loose on claim - they take it back from me on rising premiums0 -

There is no law making you stay at a firm - if they, for some reason, despite the evidence you have given them that you were in hospital at the time (many impartial witnesses) so can't have been in the accident, decided to pay out, on renewal you could simply move to another firm and you could have a complaint to the ombudsman at the time about getting any NCD back due to them paying out incorrectly + get compensation for the hassle - and they'd not get a penny more from you.
Stop over-thinking and introducing unnecessary stress and complications so close to Christmas - if you have told them it wasn't you and can prove you were in hospital at the time, they'll simply bounce it back to the other firm and tell them they were mistaken.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

i been in a hospital today, met with security's chief manager. Explained everything to him what my issue is..So they (with other security officer) browsed hospitals cctv footage..they confirmed me that they will be able to confirm that i been in a hospital on xx/12/14 from early morning trough all night till xx/12/14.
Before going to hospital today i phoned my insurer..and i had almost beg (seriously?) them to provide at least time when did accident happened..so i got it at last, it was xx:xx in a morning. i'm covered..small issue is that car parks records backdates to xx/12/14 they do not keep records any longer..so my car still not covered that it was parked in from of main hospitals reception..but they said that they will be able to retrieve footage from other cctv's which filming hospitals road main entrance..it is very good. That chief security manager..well i would rate him as a person when dealing with my issue 10/10 didn't expect that kind superb service regarding cctv footage..after i will finish with this claim i will buy nice proper bottle off wine for him
My insurer failed very badly not providing detailed information about accident, they own such information. So they violated my legal rights to access such information as i have right to be updated about incident, damages done and stuff like that..If it is my reg plate involved in this accident (i doubt it now) as they don't have anything, my insurer took this claim for a fact and decided to go behind my back collecting non existing evidence on my end.
Breaching laws and agreement terms. If they have any evidence and they suspect me they have to report it to POLICE. Much more better than - play inspector gadged wasting peoples time and wasting money which costs to send expert.
This is police job to deal with such issues and try to prove that i been involved there. UK most watched country in a world, cmn people, cameras everywhere you even don't see them..
Laws should be followed and agreement rules as well..If you will have accident and you will never report it your insurer might cancel your policy and use another actions against you in insurers data base.
This is drivers have to do everything by the book - insurers they can do what ever they want to do not very fair..? If it's real this claim against me should be existing at all. Because nothing links to me.
I think that i might be here abused by my insurers actions if it is this case i been pushed around..Hell off a case for civil court already..Hope i'm wrong. Maybe i don't understand which way work all insurers investigations procedures works? Or maybe i'm wrong somewhere in it is this type off case..? So please, people comment on your thoughts..
I will try get answers and information about this accident anyway i want to know why i been contacted and on what grounds i been suspected in this accident..I understand in what position i been put by my insurer - they suspect me for real that i was involved there, no one says it loud to me but i can feel it.
And they don't believe what ever i say..and i'm not feeling that everything going that great over there on my behalf..i'm nice man, i'm not rude with people no matter what..When thinking about accident and when you don't know anything about it..maybe there is damage done in £10 000+ maybe there was serious injuries done to people..i don't find it funny at all..this is in my interest to fetch all facts for myself not for my insurer..i don't care about them as they don't care about me - nothing personal, just business...
Who's what intentions to violate my legal rights when not providing detailed information i don't know yet but i will be looking for answers.
Please note guys, it's is very important that claim would be "dropped" not "closed" it is huge difference in terms of law.
"closed claim" = there was some sort off issue and it was decided in your favor.
"dropped claim" = there wasn't anything against you and on your behalf regarding this accident..
If you will ever have such misunderstanding - make sure that it will be dropped claim not closed and make sure to confirm it on paper or at least email.
Suit yourself people how everything it is here. And learn from my experiences rather from your own..Never relay on other people when resolving such problems no one can be trusted.0 -

Even then, it must be in what is known as a relevant filing system - i.e. data that can be traced to you by a reasonably competent temp with no specific knowledge of their systems.
They can also withhold information that they have good reason to believe would be harmful to you to know or would compromise the confidentiality of somebody else without their consent. If they have any evidence and they suspect me they have to report it to POLICE.I think that i might be here abused by my insurers actions if it is this case i been pushed around.Hell off a case for civil court already.Hope i'm wrong.Maybe i don't understand which way work all insurers investigations procedures works?Or maybe i'm wrong somewhere in it is this type off case..?
You started sounding off last Saturday. Like most of us, staff at insurance companies like their weekends off (and no doubt had Christmas shopping to do). There would possibly have been a skeleton staff to deal with things that could not wait. However, they have had just three working days since then, one of which was Christmas Eve.
From their point of view, nobody has been injured and your car is clearly still on the road. It needs resolving but not that urgently. You possibly could choose an insurer who would pull the stops out and resolve it on Christmas Day but I bet you would not want to pay the additional premium that would entail.Im even starting to think this is a wind up now0
