    Farcical "service" from Yodel today.

Parcel despatched 9th Dec. Out for delivery today (18th) to me. I've just checked on their tracking service to find out that they have not been able to access my property.

At the time they say delivery was attempted, I was sitting in my lounge, looking out for a car/van. There is no way that I could have missed the Yodel courier. Absolutely appalling that Yodel are lying to customer & firm alike. Fuming doesn't come close

And again, Yodel adopt the EA approach to customer relations.

    "I'm not listening!"

Yodel, you suck. I'll go and find the order numbers and tracking numbers of the orders you screwed up on if you like. ;) Oh and the Trustpilot review I stuck in for you... never really felt like complaining about a company before on Trustpilot until you came along.

do you have gates or anyway the road could of been blocked, as normaly carriers put this code for this reason
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • my hermes deliveries to the wrong house [ left outside] in the wrong street not once but several times even though I complained each time How were they voted better than I post who have a next day tracked delivery

Nope, normal house on a very normal street. The Yodel driver was blatantly lying about being at the house at that time as, miraculously, the parcel was pushed through my letterbox the next morning.

If the driver had been at my house when he said he was, he could have delivered it in the same manner. I am astounded at the blatant cheek of him (/her)

  • Today I'm driving over to the yodel depot rather than face another day of waiting in - only to be told I wasn't in when the knocked (like yesterday)

    Yodel are terrible
  • I feel bad for delivery companies in general because so much is out of their hands. They battle against the weather and the traffic. Delays are often caused by customers too, if they stay too long while they inspect their item they driver is late. If he rushes off the customer feels like he's been rude. Sometimes houses are hard to find. Sometimes items won't fit through doorways.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be held accountable for shoddy service because they should, but compared to other businesses it's just that much harder to be 100% as much of it is out of their hands.

The driver shortage doesn't help either.

  • Oddly enough the guys at the yodel depot were great today...even helping me an hour after their office closed
  • Recent yodel experiences all leave me thinking that they play football with all the parcels destined to be delivered to me. Parcels, especially boxed parcels are always bashed about, pieces of cardboard hanging off etc.

I placed an order with a company that used Yodel as their courier.
First attempt, they left me a note saying that I wasn't home, which is fair enough as I was at work at the time.

The delivery note had a phone number to call to re-arrange the delivery. I called the number and was told that the delivery would be made the next day.

I worked from home to make sure that I was there to collect the delivery...but nobody came.

So I went to Yodel customer support and was told that the courier had run out of time to deliver my parcel that day (I didn't even think that was possible!!!) and will deliver it the next day.

Next day comes along....still nothing. I was at work, but someone was at home all day and they said nothing came. I checked with the neighbours and they haven't received anything either.

Fast forward a couple of days and I get both a text message and an email stating that my parcel was delivered.

So I contact Yodel and tell them this and they say they've "opened an investigation" for my missing products and will contact me within 24 - 48 hours.
....I haven't heard from them since...

So I went to the company I purchased the products and am currently waiting for them to investigate what happened and get back to me.

    tl;dr:
Using Yodel didn't offer the best experience for my purchase and I'm currently in talks with the company who used to find out what's going to happen.
