  • My wife and I are looking to get our bathroom refitted and a Glasgow based company sends items to London far cheaper than they'll send it to Inverness shire! Another firm from England this time, wanted £95 to deliver three packs of flooring. It was the same when we were shopping for a new telly and one firm wanted £120 delivery but we eventually got it from an honest firm for a sensible price. This scam has been debated for years and nothing has been done about it. It should be the same price for all.If one company can do it, it takes away all the others excuses.
  • I've used MyHermes a couple of times, both parcel deliveries were a complete disaster. I paid for delivery but had difficult getting an Address label sent to my PC. When I did get label and looked at the site again, the tracking said it had been delivered when I hadn't even posted it. The second parcel was left at a parcel shop for 55hrs before it was even collected. it was going to a business address and they tried to deliver it at 06-15 in the morning, I contacted them and asked to deliver after 09-00, so then they tried to deliver at 18-30 hrs in the evening when the office was closed. They are a bunch of idiots. AVOID MYHERMES AT ALL COSTS. Its just not worth it. As I write I'm not actually sure where the parcel is, as it still has not been delivered. There is no number to contact anybody so I just keep sending Emails hoping someone might reply. Absolutely hopeless. Going to contact Trading Standards.

Well lets look at what you chose.
Myhermes are a low end consumer carrier.

You sent via parcelshop, they state typically 2-4 day service.
So if you (for some reason) are working in hours. Thats 96 hours non guaranteed.
These carriers are paid per pick up/delivery.
Wouldnt you want to get as many pick ups in one go?
Same for delivery times. Did you pay extra for specific time slots?
No,you went with the cheapest option with a wide delivery window and now are seeing where those cuts are made.
