Sorry are MORALS different south of the border?

    Morals are individual.

Do laws not apply north of the border? Is it morally ok, so don't worry about pesky little things like statutes and common law?

    - seriously this person gets to vote?

I do know about evictions in Scotland but ive never had to do it funnily enough.

Don't care re job as long as rent paid and no dss.

    Well if they aren't working....
    And aren't claiming benefits...
    They must be stealing....

Why the hell did we not get to vote on independence. I'd of voted twice if it meant this person was not part of my society...

Unfortunately, whichever council Missko's rental property is in must have deemed her fit and proper to be a LL since it's a criminal offence in Scotland to let a property without being registered as a LL.

I do find it odd that Missko repeatedly fails to read threads before bleating on about morals and showing a lack of understanding of housing law, such as the nonsensical comment about tenants being guests and squatters. Yet Missko is apparently a trained solicitor in Scotland about to take exams to also be able to practice law in England. Bizarre.

No you said, "Tenants or guests who overstay their welcome are squatters morally if not legally."

It's not looking good for your exams.

Guest - some of us have savings to help in event of job loss.

This comment is priceless. By your own admission on another thread you've been bailed out more than once by the bank of mum & dad.

According to your post in November this year. You are claiming JSA... So I guess I'm paying into your savings. Since you have all these savings, fancy stopping your claim, for those who need it. Funny how you say no DSS too...

Guest - you would fail my pre-rental grammar / intelligence check with your use of "of" instead of "have" so don't worry re me being your ll anytime soon! ;-)

It's ok I'm happy to pay my money to reputable landlords, thanks.

Yep we have law but it's based on morality.
Adultery not illegal but still not right.
No such thing as a gentleman's agreement anymore?

Sorry you're training to be a solicitor? Wow, I'd better tell my 7 year old to apply, seems understanding of the law is not a criteria.
