  • Don't know which site to post this on but I have a question. I noticed many people on these sites referring to Quidco so had a look. Found if I ordered groceries from Tesco for the first time I would get £5. Is this site worth bothering about. I do buy from M & S but would have to pay a postage charge so is it worth it and can I actually earn some good old cash back?

Hmm...my smugness was slightly premature. While I have enough food in the house for my dinners all week, I have neglected lunches and cereal for work!!
I popped into Sainsbug today to get bread, 6 eggs and weetabix, which should do me. (Fingers crossed)

I also couldn't resist the lure of a bottle of red, as I've not had alcohol all month I thought why not.

So £6.38 spent today. Sig duly amended.:D

throw away :spam:?!?!?!?!?!? I love it!! there's never any left over when I'm around :p

.. and please dont anyone post to tell me its not healthy - I know!!! :D
Unfortunately my DW is hard wired to not using anything such as meat if it's more than 3 days old. We had no fridge for the first few years of marriage and I cannot remember her parents having a fridge until they were quite old. Everything was kept in the larder in those days and during summer meat and suchlike was consumed on the day of purchase or not later than the next day. We have no larder now as we got rid of it to increase kitchen space, and as we have a fridge and freezer it was not needed anyway. For myself I have no such inhibitions and would quite happily eat most things up to a week old if refrigerated.

And yes Redsquirrel90 Spam is unhealthy, so are lots of other things that we enjoy, for instance Steak & Kidney Pudding :j, but you cannot make a decent one without Lard

Delivery from Mr T due on tomorrow and should come to around £90 with special offers, and that should last us to the end of the month.

Tell me folks, how do you get two quotes in one post please?

I cheat! :D I copy and paste the first into a word document and then bring the second 'quote' response up, and then paste the one from the word doc into it ...

there might be a better way to do it, so shall keep an eye out for responses ;)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

  • I am into Spetembers budget now as I work on a 4 week cycle....just to be awkard:D

Anyway, we spent £265 last month including petrol. I normally get it around the £200-£230 mark but we went on holiday for a week which was 200 miles away and bought some luxury food whilst away. This inluded 1 meal out too.

    Not too bad I thought.

Our August has finished, DH went to Asda and spent about £20 o very little, which brings us up to £298 for 3 weeks, budget was £300. It was more than we should have spent but I didnt start the month properly.

Will get started for September tonight when my Asda delivery arrives its costing around £110 and should last 10 days. Am hoping a budget of £300 for September (20 Aug to 20 Sept) will be ok bearing in mind I am 36 weeks g, knacekred and of course there may be a baby putting in an appearance and disrupting sensible shopping LOL
