Narco good to hear DH is improving. Was thinking of you both yesterday as my 3 fairies were in the garden..

Ooh lovely, I haven't had any in the garden. The blue tits, great tits and goldfinches are in with a vengeance; I have to fill the feeder most days now. We've got a few coal tits too.

Me too - looking forward to it. I was once lucky enough to see The Bolshoi live at the Albert Hall and the show was amazing :D

So pleased to hear how well OH is doing - hoping and praying he can be home for Christmas xx

Did you enjoy it? I loved it. Mum and I are going to the Albert Hall tomorrow to see Anton & Erin, plan to get a bus back from the hall along Oxford St to see the lights. Should make it home in time for evening hospital visit. He looked good again this eve, just waiting for a couple of test results back which hopefully the doctor will have good news on tomorrow.

One of the problems I have is mild prosopagnosia
If I had £1 for every time I've bluffed my way through a chance meeting with someone, for instance in town, then after they'd gone had to ask Mr LW "who the sam hell was that?" I'd be a very rich woman!:rotfl: Laughing aside, it all adds to my social phobia, and makes social events even more fraught.

You are not alone! Studies suggest 1 in 50 people could have some form of prosopagnosia. Specialist Dr Martina Grüter suggests working with portrait pictures. Particularly interesting are group photos of similar looking children. This helps children with prosopagnosia to understand that some children of his or her class or group look very similar. They can then work on identifying distinguishing features.

Face Blindness is an important enough problem to demand that people should be tested routinely, the earlier the better. A playful way to test for prosopagnosia is with an individual picture pairs game with 25 faces, which could include photos of family, school or work colleagues: http://better-health-post.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/face-blind-children-risk-walking-off.html

For prosopagnosia sufferers, such picture pairs cards can also be used like flashcards training vocabulary, but with the pictures of the faces of the people they want to learn to recognise.
