    Congratulations to Boddy's GS2 - lovely news.

Well, I've had a nice walk with the dogs in the sunshine, bit windy though. Came back and planted the shallots but decided against digging a new plot as I'm still coughing like a gooden.

I have also shown downstairs the hoover, not that you'd notice. Just having a quick lunch and will then do ironing and wrapping the last of the presents.

Reading the above posts, think maybe I need to wean myself off sweetener in my tea.

This feels very, very weird. I've just written the last stragglers of Christmas cards. That means all those major and minor, long and short-term Frog-like tasks that have been haunting me since the dawning of the two decades before I became a Flylady have been ... done. I have a list as long as Twizzle's arm of things I could do, but nothing left on the Should-Do list that has been dogging me for years.

I'm very grateful to everyone who contributes to this thread, because without the support of Flyladies I would never have been able to find a way of dealing with mountainous tasks that have overwhelmed me in the past.

If that sounds smug, please know that the house has not been dusted for weeks, the shower room needs a scrub, there are at least two loads of washing that need to be pushed through the machine, the bedroom carpet is thick with dog biscuit crumbs, and none of the kitchen cupboards have been turned out for six months. It's just that The Amphibian House has been cleared. For the moment.

    Thank you One and All.
    Better is good enough.

Conservatory sorted, lots of busying this morning. Also lots of vacuuming. Towels washed. Brunch made and scoffed.

We are now having a DVD afternoon in front of the fire.

Here here. In fact I think every one of us who follow this thread should stop right now and give ourselves a little pat on the back because we are doing our best and thats what matters. I am another who is eternally grateful to the support on here.

Oh and thanks for the advice about drinks. The BB suggestion sounds very interesting. I like fizzy mineral water but find it comes in huge bottles and too much water makes me spend the whole night in the loo.

4 loads of washing done and more to do. Like Jazee I have just had a lovely walk with the dog in the sunshine. Have hoovered most of upstairs and will continue dusting, hoovering and tidying at a nice steady pace. Everyone else is out so its just me and the dog.

  • It's still so dark and rainy here so could those of you are lucky enough to have sunshine today PLEASE blow some in our direction.I am totally sick of the wet stuff and can't actually remember when we last had a dry day.

I need some brightness in my life! _pale_

    Elastic x x

Well, I have just looked on the met office website and its going to rain here for the next 3 days solid so maybe its your turn for the nice weather!! Otherwise I will happily blow the sun in your direction :)

Tired now, suffering from the after effects of dancing at midnight and too much sugar. Just going to have a little snooze before they all land home.

LW - you sound like me - I was blanked by someone I thought knew me at ndn party last week - I'm not that different now I've lost weight!! So we left early as we don't really do getting legless at our age!
One of the problems I have is mild prosopagnosia - info for anyone curious may be found at:
    http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/prosopagnosia/Prosopagnosia.htm
If I had £1 for every time I've bluffed my way through a chance meeting with someone, for instance in town, then after they'd gone had to ask Mr LW "who the sam hell was that?" I'd be a very rich woman!:rotfl: Laughing aside, it all adds to my social phobia, and makes social events even more fraught. The odd thing is I can recognise dogs with no problem - even to knowing instinctively which Black Lab is which when there are several of them present. Go figure..... *shruggy smilie*

Ronnie's been a brave boy today; we met no less than three dogs, all ones I didn't know, and he still managed to finish his walk without problems.:T Hopefully he's feeling a little more like himself now, after his ordeal. He's currently under the coffee table, pushing out zzzzzz's:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
