I opened all the windows in the house this morning for an hour. Just to air the place a bit. I had to put my coat on.

    Nice and warm now though.

CY healthy vibes for your DD's BF

I've had a lovely afternoon make my door wreaths and indoor greenery decorations - I so love doing this sort of thing. Also potted up some plants as gifts (in washed out oversized tin fruit cans) and decorated with ribbons.

Jacket spuds are cooking. Need to tidy up the kitchen now which is covered in bits of moss, twigs etc.

Thanks for the spoons and good wishes; I really need them at the moment, as I'm extremely stressed, which is not at all good for me.

The little dog I have staying at the moment is extremely hard work. Don't get me wrong, he's a lovely little chap; but he has a history of not eating when he's away from home, and it's all I can do to get some food into him; also, he was attacked by another dog a couple of weeks ago and badly bitten, so although he's now fine physically, he's traumatised, and scared of all other dogs, so walkies are a bit of a trial. We have him for 20 days!!

If all that wasn't enough, we have to attend a social event Sunday afternoon which I can't get out of. The people in the bungalow just across from us have had an extensive amount of work done, which has meant loads of materials, machinery, and "Bob the Builder"'s van (as I called him :D ) clogging up the close, so they're holding a "drinks and nibbles" get-together for the neighbours to say thanks for putting up with it all. As you know, I really don't do "sociable", and I have absolutely zip in common with anyone else in the close, so it's going to be quite an ordeal for me, but Mr LW says we have to at least put in an appearance.

So, with one thing and another, it's all getting a bit on top of me.

Appetite vibes for Ronnie would be greatly appreciated.:o

Thoroughly enjoyed lunch with my department, and met the lovely lady who has been my replacement. I'm going to be working together with her from January, and am now looking forward to it!

Need to pop in a load of washing, then cook dinner, but can enjoy another five minutes on the sofa I think.

  • LW hope the dog settles. And as for the social, just agree with OH on a get out strategy for when you have had enough. I feel a bit bad because OH wants to go to a concert that is coming up and I just dont think I can do it. I dont do crowds. I told him I didnt mind at all if he goes with someone else but he looked a bit disappointed.

DS2 has gone to a friends overnight and I dropped a bag of essentials (ie xbox controller) off for him. He told me I was ace and he loved me, in front of his mates. I am walking on air now.

Going out for a drink in a bit but I will drive and be taxi because its easier and I dont drink much anyway. I will still probably feel rubbish tomorrow though!

Off to paint my nails a Christmassy colour.

I think we're going to use having to get back to see to Ronnie as our exit strategy.:o

Oh, and I forgot to mention - my hearing aid has packed up.:( Can't get an appointment to see the audiologist til 12th January; it's lucky I still have my old one, and it uses the same type of batteries. It's nowhere near as good, but better than nowt.
