  • Morning all. Calming vibes all round, happy birthday vibes to pigpen's DD, come home vibes for Peter and vibes of an unspeakable nature to KH.

DD2 is unwell. She has a UTI and antibiotics don't seem to be touching it. Her b/ f now has a suspected hernia. I just hope they have some luck in the new year....

Last day at school today. Most of us have some sort of lurgy. Then straight to the station for a trip to mum's. Tbh I could do without it. I am so tired and unprepared. And worried about DD2 and her b/f.

It's wonderful that you are helping your friend Ionafan. Fingers crossed they can sort something to help the situation.

    Morning!

Kiddies loved the wrapped toilet :)

Going to get the wm emptied then take DD to gymnastics. Then a quick lunch before we set off for hosp. Following that we've to collect DS, get him changed and off to a party. Then DD and I are going to brave the shopping centre... Yikes!

After that, it's relax time. No more school, work (ish), anything. We have a few fresh bits to buy next week but other than that it's a hopefully peaceful holiday for us.

Well that's the theory, anyway :D

did the HHx2 but ended up mucking out pots and laundry from DS1s room then tidying the christmas cards and the games and dvds so doesnt really look like i achieve much - better start the next HHx2 at 10am thanks for the company last time elasticmoney

2nd stint was equally unproductive LOL but for a nice reason good friend who i keep missing popped round so we had a HH catchup over a cuppa have now cleared most of the dusty areas from the lounge so just in the process of putting photoframes and ornaments back tidying throws and cushions then will sweep through and clean the back windows - lounge will be done then

:o obviously been more of a slattern in the last couple of weeks than id realised, ive been working on the lounge ALL morning and ive only just finished (and the table still needs clearing and the tortoise cleaning out) ive cheated slightly by saying finished as my crystal/glass stuff is in the kitchen waiting to be washed once i start in there after work.

The bits ive done look good but i have left a stack of empty cases and game discs that DS2 can pair up once he gets back from school, and ill ask DH to take the glass shades off the lights and debug them once he gets home from work - i could do it but equally so can they;)

Oh dear. Appointment cancelled unless I can make 2.20 (no, will make me late for school run) or 4.15 (no, won't be able to get to hosp that soon after school run and DS has a party). 6th jan it is. Never mind, can't be helped. Also gives me a clear few hours here. So will sort some lunch and really have a good go at the kitchen...

Trip to town quite successful, only a few more gifts to source now.
Dropped a present off to a friend.
    Kitchen tidied.

The sun is out so I'm going to do 15 minutes in the front gaden collecting moss for my wreath, pot up some forget-me-knots for Mum and cut up a few bits for the brown bin then I tihnk I'll make my greenery decorations.

DS3 is finishing at lunchtime today.

Decided tomorrow everybody is helping upstairs by tidying, hoovering and dusting their rooms (can't change the beds until WM is fixed).

Narco hugest hugs again today sweetie, waiting to see how my friend got on at the hospital today (she has an infection in the wound from the op which went wrong).

Mrs MP - you can strike off you me time from your list which is the most important item anyhow!

Flying will be patchy bits and bobs here and there today.

DS2 was out last night, meeting up with friends from school as they are all back from uni. So, as usual I have a body on the living room floor! I thought I would, so had moved my things into the kitchen.

I have finished the second sock for DS1's GF! They are now wrapped up. They were dark purple a colour, that was really hard to knit with , and not one I'll be choosing again. They look really good though, and I'm very pleased with them.

I'm off to have lunch with my department today, so back late afternoon.

Love, hugs, sticks and spoons where needed.

Kitchen done :T including sorting the paperwork pile. Turns out DS has a party invite in amongst the christmas cards :o hopefully I'll see the boys mum at school this aft to explain...

I've also sorted my sp33ding c@mera problem (so cross with myself about that one).

Anyway, looking very spic and span but I do need to get rid of some carp from the cupboards.

Been nice to not have to dash around. Even had time to read the little lady a story and do some jigsaws with her :)

:coffee: before school run / party / shopping centre

  • I am on a very crowded train down to mum's ( mum made a donation to the travel costs so I am on First Class - today this is worth it's weight in gold). DD2's boyfriend is in hospital having tests. Any positive flylady vibes in his direction would be very much appreciated.
