  • MOrning everyone!!
Sorry I have had problems with my mice - the computer ones -and couldn't get onto the thread. Still no idea how I did it .

Hugs to everyone needing them and Peter come home vibes for Piggers' cat. You can have my OH if you wish - he's of the same name!!!!

Up at 6 baking flapjack and Belgian Cake for charity shop volunteers and my neighbours - much appreciated. Had a tiring shift then went to local Coffee house for a well earned cuppa, my DS primary school choir was singing carols there - got a little teary as he used to be one of the only two boys in the choir and has a lovely voice!! Must be getting old I keep reminiscing!

About to have another cuppa and a quick tidy as ndn daughter is coming round and we are baking again while DF wraps presents.

Hopefully catch up tomorrow - if I can sort out this b... laptop!!! As you can see not much flying going on here.

Oh and welcome to all newbies. x

Good to hear from you katiecat. We missed you!

Just about to pick up ds1 from school but had an hour between vets and now so I wrapped another present and sorted out all the presents ready to stop off to their 'homes' over the next few days. They were all under our Christmas tree and now it looks quite empty!

Pigpen- hope Peter comes home screen on.

I have had a busy day, made easier by taking yesterdays list at its word and doing the bathrooms then.

New mattress has been delivered, but before it came I pulled the base out and hoovered and dusted behind and under the bed - it was disgusting:eek:

Then had an hour in the garden as realised there were some winter pansies that had been missed. De-pooped the garden, raked and swept the leaves and then planted the pansies and am feeling rather pleased at the result.

Now having a cuppa before tackling the ironing and sock pairing. I hate sock pairing, it should be made illegal and there will always be some with a missing friend.

I could have throttled my DH yesterday, it seems he had a lump downstairs and did not want to tell me because of how I had been. I realised something was wrong and got him an emergency doc appointment, fortunately it is only a cyst that has got infected so he is now on anti-bs right up to Christmas. He is so much like his Dad, it is unbelievable. DFIL passed away from throat cancer because he would not go to the docs and when he did it was too late for treatment. :(

Pigpen - come home Peter vibes going your way

LW - sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish

Elastic - Mr E's phrase is very similar to mine. I have no problems just solutions that I haven't yet found

Iona - please look after yourself

Deco - you will get there

Katie - anti-ds are a b***er to get used to, but you will get there. It is still early days and hopefully the doc will find some that suit you

Hugs, spoons and sticks to all who need them.

Have a good evening and catch up with you all tomorrow.

    Gilly x

    Yawn. Am so tired!
Been to DS concert this afternoon and kiddies were allowed home straight after so somehow they've had tea already... Suspect they'll be wanting supper, then, later. Scratch that they are asking for more already...

Not much done today, 2 x WM, and vacced downstairs. Kitchen is ok but DW wants emptying. Might do an hours paid stuff later, try get some stuff finished up. Will also bath DS tonight since he won't have time tomorrow. DD went swimming last night so she was showered and hair done. Got a few bits from h0me bargains earlier so enough fabric conditioner and a stash of batteries for over Xmas, plus some more zoflora (apple flavour).

Tomorrow seems a bit here and there too. Could do with sorting the bathrooms. Might take the small vac up and whizz round upstairs while he's having a soak. DD can tidy her room.

Hugs deco I've decided it's ok to feel a bit crap this time of year xxx

Is the moggy back, yet, pigpen? Edit: I see he's not :( Hope he doesn't leave you stressing too long x

Glad the patient is doing well, narc0

Hugs for both you and your friends, dusty and ionafan they are lucky to have your unwavering support x

gilly a hot coffe would be amazing, but I think its mythical when there's children around...

Flying has been happening, but here and there, so I'm not convinced there has been much impact!

Mostly, I have been doing two weeks of meal planning and online grocery shopping, which takes me up to start of term in January.

DD and I went into town, as I had ordered in some shoes, but neither pair fitted. It is a design I have previously bought, so it must have been changed. It turned out to be one of those irritating shoppping trips where you come home with nothing.

I need to do lots of knitting this evening to finish a second sock, so that I can wrap them up tomorrow.

Love and hugs, sticks and spoons, and come home safe home vibes where needed.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be
  • continued return home vibes for peter.
supporting hugs for all who need them
so far this afty ive hung more washing out but the wind got up so much it wrenched the bracket out of the garage wall so one line had to be quickly rescued from dragging across the lawn
ive made a fruit cake as requested for DS1 birthday and its now cooling waiting for DD3 to collect it as shes in charge of icing it for the weekend
had a missed parcel card for DH that came 10 mins before i left work so pretty annoying so need to collect that at the weekend along with one that DS1 got stung for customs charges on (thats made one of his sisters pressies about £12 more than he budgeted for)

just had a lovely surprise one of Dh work friends just knocked the door bearing 2 large bottles of baileys - he said we can have one each LOL.

need to go and sort tea now

Pigpen, from what I can remember of getting cats used to a new place the advice used to be to keep them in for two weeks and then let them out - by that time they're used to the smell of the place and can find it again. I've got my fingers and fings crossed for Peter Pen because it's nowhere near time to give up on him. Is he microchipped? And has the address on the microchip record been transferred to you from OH's family's address? They may have had a phone call - it's worth checking.

I have shifted two major frogs out of the house. At last. I feel free!
    Better is good enough.
