Mimi's birthday stuff wrapped for tomorrow.
Pixie in my bed already..
I got 2 boxes of stuff wrapped, I brought 5 down to do.. I'm a bit behind!!!
I have no idea how I am supposed to finish the shopping and get everything ready for going to his mothers next Saturday and sort everything for Christmas by myself.. I'm in a right old flap with myself!!
I am most upset about the cat being missing and KH has truly excelled himself.. I am utterly fed up.. he is now on about him having the girls all day Christmas day and all day on the 26th next year already trying to make a pigs ear of it for me.. ain't happening !!!!!!!.. he can have them Christmas eve from lunchtime until lunchtime Christmas day IF they want to go.. they are at mine the 26th.. always.. it has been the day for a family gathering in my family since before I was born and if he thinks I am changing that for him he can go fiddle himself! It isn't an important day for his family but it is for mine and he can respect that or lump it! Christmas day is just tired day in here and I actually liked doing presents Christmas eve and then having a peaceful Christmas day last year if I am honest, the break between santa chaos and 26th chaos was very much appreciated.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning everyone.
Wrapped a couple of extra bits last night when I got in. Was shattered as A&E was heaving. Doing a few extra hours Saturday and Monday.
Made some soup yesterday.
All cat stuff was cleaned and kitchen tidied.
Mr A was heaving but all DD and my shopping done. Will just need fresh stuff.
At voluntary job today then DDs for tea.
pigpen Peter come home vibes winging your way.
Spoons, sticks and hugs where needed. Also healing and calming vibes.0 -
Peter come home vibes...
Up early as dd has her bday tea after school so have been doing some gibble clearing in the kitchen. Cooked some sausages and squirted some bleach down the cloakroom loo.
Off to work after sending kids to breakfast club. They are whacked. Will be glad for end of term.
Dh under strict instructions to hoover n mop today.

Morning everyone. Frizzle and Bossy - thank you, you both made me laugh so much just now with your tales of your elves antics. They are naughty.
I'm not sure I'll have time this morning now for ironing, so will just finish my cuppa and get out in the fresh air with the dogs.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
Mogs fed
Bit of ironing done
Off to wake up DS1 and DS3 now and then I'll empty DW and do pack lunch. I seriously need a HH tidying up downstairs once I've dispatched them for the day.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thank you for all your lovely messages.
I dreamt a lot last night, and whilst not nightmares, the dreams have not exactly been calming ones - not really surprising, after yesterday's meeting for my friend with the chemo nurse. I am becoming more and more aware of how dysfunctional her son has become, and I am extremely worried about anyone - not just me, but even the doctor, for example - being allowed access to her if she is unable to get downstairs and open the front door herself. And she is upset about her granddaughter possibly not being able to come and stay 3 nights a week, in case of infection. And the house isn't clean but she won't let me do any cleaning, even though her son hasn't cleaned the bathroom for a fortnight (his OCD is not of the type that is manifested in a fear of germs). Today I am going to keep her company while she has her first chemo. I am rather hoping that I can talk to the psychologist and that more can be done to help her and her son. If necessary, we can have her to stay here at our house, but I am afraid that might just exacerbate the situation because he won't come here to see her. And my DH wants and deserves some attention too, and has bought concert tickets and planned weekends away which he does not want to cancel (neither do I, though if necessary I will have to). It's all a very sad situation.
Narc0, I am so pleased to read that your OH is progressing well. Slow cookers also make excellent soup! Enjoy your mum's visit - I'm sure she will be pleased to be able to help you
Katiecat, it's lovely to have you back with us. MMM too.
LW, I hope your lupus flare subsides soon and you can enjoy your celebration this weekend. Healing vibes for you.
Pigpen, KH is certainly living up to his name - no wonder you're stressed. I do hope your moggy comes home soon. Calming vibes for you, returning vibes for Peter Puss.
Yesterday I managed to do 2 loads of washing but there is no ironing to be done
I also put up the holly with its lights on top of the tall cupboards and bookshelves, together with most of the remaining decorations, and got myself to choir practice on time.
In the next 3 hours I want to
- send email Christmas cards
- print off a meal planner and shopping list to take with me to complete at some point during the day: it will give me something useful to do
- have a shower
- do dailies
- make up a packed lunch (I don't want to eat sandwiches so I make a pot of couscous salad)
- call at the pharmacist for peppermint water and the local CoOp for bottled water on my way to pick up my friend, to save another journey later
- drop off some things at the CS on our way to the hospital
After that, the day will sort itself. DH is out tonight at wargames, so I will wrap presents then (I said that last week!)
Hope everyone has a good day. I am taking a lot of big spoons with me, but in the cutlery drawer in the DR I have 6 grapefruit spoons and 6 little coffee spoons which rarely see the light of day, so please help yourselves to them if they are of any use to you. (((Hugs))) all round x0 -
Morning everyone
3 more days at work.. its so quiet and boring I just dont want to be there! At least Monday and Tuesday I dont have to drop DS off for the school bus.
I still have some Christmas cards to send. I am not very good with Christmas cards so I will make myself do them and stick them in the post today.
Happy birthday Mimi.
Might go and stick a load of washing in, looks like its going to be dry.
Have a good Friday everyone. x0 -
Morning everyone - I have found the magic switch!
Love the elves' antics, and have gone back to the thread to read Gilly's joke - ace!
Hugs to Iona, LW, Narco and everyone else - sorry I can't keep you all in my head - I am scatterbrained today.
Need to get out once hair is dry and hand deliver the last few cards. Then off to Mr Al with short shopping list for milk veg fruit until Sat 27th. Aiming to clear fridge and freezer as much as possible before we go away.
The car was MOT'd yesterday and passed but needs two new tyres before any long journey - perfect timing!
Had lovely time making choc and marshmallow crispy cakes yesterday. Have a huge order for knitted clothes for ndn daughter - and managed to make a tiny Cindy handbag in about 15 mins - she was delighted! Hope they'll also sell well when made for CR shop next year.
Have a good day everyone. xJuly 16 £95/£200
