    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
came home from mums to find a flylady card has arrived..... just the one. Mind you they arrived on 6th Jan last Christmas, so this is a huge improvement!
Mine just arrived today so plenty of time yet.

BTW - lost a huge post yesterday and tried to remember it all earlier.

I'm sorry but I just realised that I forgot about your daughter's problem. Has she tried plain yoghurt (eat it and apply it other end iyswim) a couple of times a day and also drink plenty of warm lemon barley water. Hope her boyfriend getting sorted.

Also reading back on the fizzy drinks/sweetener discussion I have stopped using artificial sweeteners and now use sweetener made from the stevia leaf - there are a couple on the market. It is quite sweet and I have found my skin and my digestive system have improved immensely.

The 'next-day headaches' could also come from a high dose of caffeine as lots of these soft drinks are high in that. HTH

Certainly agree with the flylady praise.
I've been soaring thanks to my flymum. We've removed anything from the lounge/dining room that shouldn't be there, watered all plants, dusted and polished anything that sat still long enough then vacuumed.
We've put the Christmas cards on strings.
A kind friend came to put up a handrail on our steep stairs; OH and I had been discussing for a while that it may be useful for our mums and for a disabled friend, so when his 'hospital event' happened I thought of asking the friend, who works in H0mebase, to put one up for when Mr Narc0 gets home. It is a pine one and it looks really nice.
Copious amounts of hoovering in the hall to get rid of the sawdust and brick dust.
Did one load of washing, hung out and dried as sunny and windy.
Took OH's ticket back and got a refund - going to "beamed in" ballet the Nutcracker tomorrow afternoon with both mums and mil's friend at local cinema.
Laid out veg this eve to put in slow cooker tomorrow for when we get back from ballet; mum said she'd chop it up when I'm waking up or feeding the horse!
Visited Mr Narc0 twice; now walking round ward sometimes free, sometimes attached to antibiotic drip. He had 2 weetabix for breakfast and beef stew for lunch, joy. Looks reasonably likely he may come home just before Christmas.:j:T
Delivered a few local cards on the way home from the hospital.
    Carol service tomorrow am.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Hello everyone........I am back in......as the Skint Ritz almost went mobile, everything got slung into laundry bags ready for a quick exit......but now it looks like we need to stay put to get all the legalese started.......all my hoarding 24 years of paperwork is now coming on the Karma bus but I just need to get it all organised before I lock this house down for the last time and walk away.

So I might post for some company tomorrow, but I am to start with the lists in earnest on Monday.

Ionafan I did think about changing my user name, but I am not going to run and hide from anyone anymore ......I know have 4 cases to bring against the EX, one against someone who was brought in to help us, and one for cyber bullying of the worst kind against DD3.

No more nice Skinty.....if you hurt my family, you will feel the force of my claws......talking and words are my biggest weapon, closely followed by my ability to hoard paperwork!

Right time to try and get some shut eye......nighty night everyone

It is great to have you back, Skinty. I was worried about you. (((Hugs))) to you and all the young Skints, especially DD3.

Tomorrow I will fly, I promise!

    Another box of stuff wrapped..

Laundry shuffled, Christmas dinner bought.. Christmas eve eating in here! DW all up to date, downstairs vacuumed through.. I bossed small girls to do it.

Tomorrow I am hoping to send a sofa off to DIL's brother, a single mattress hoiked outside and a huge reshuffle in the middle room.. coupled with a catch up session on the washing which is once again taking over the kitchen. I also am delegating cleaning of the bathroom, loo and landing to the children and DDs 3 and 4 and 5 have bedroom clearing to do. The boys have made the tiniest start in theirs but it is a pit.

I have a few bits to fling ebaywards at some point.. ds game, duplicate we don't need and a boxed baby annabell and a few other brand new bits of swag.

My cough is driving me to distraction!

  • Pigpen.....I have a cough that is driving me insane too. I am currently sleeping on the sofa so I don't cough the rest of the house awake.....

It's not worked......DD1, DD3 and DS are now on the sofas with duvets aswell.

I had a brain wave when I woke up and found some misplaced paperwork. It just shows what can get accomplished when you stop phone calls all hours of the day and night.

Just going to have a little think to see what else I can have tumbling out before I try for another few hours sleep

See you in the morning

Well I didn't have a bad night's sleep last night so that was nice - probably just sheer exhaustion though esp now AF has joined in the mix!

I still have some more wrapping to do but I think I'm going to wash the dishes and have a bit of a sort out in the kitchen while everyone else is still in bed.

I'm really cross with myself as I very rarely use my CCs and I've just checked how much I owe on one as I know I've used it this month and I used it once in November and hadn't paid it as I'd forgotten I'd used it so I've been charged £12.

    Have a good day all

Morning all. Woke at a more reasonable time today. Just had first cuppa. I feel I should be sorting out food stocks/cupboards today ready for Christmas BUT it is a huge frog. Think I'll just have to get on with it as I'm at the paid stuff the next 3 days and between Xmas and New Year now so I need to be better organised.

Right, time for a second cuppa I think.

    Have a great day everyone.

Aww hi skinty nice to "see" you sorry housey things are still unsettled x

Trying to delay getting up, with kids tv on. But they are nattering for brekki so I guess we'll move,

I'm going to have a fast day today, ate far too much yesterday, even when I wasn't hungry, which is just dumb. By last night I was gassy and uncomfortable. So today I'm going to stick to hot drinks and protein shakes. I'm sure it will help. Then from tomorrow I will practice moderation.

Think we'll play at home today, perhaps upstairs for a while, and I'll have a kiddie cupboard sort. Then at 3.30 I might bundle them in the car and we'll go see some lights.

    Morning all

DH and I have fixed the WM. Very happy about this. Took a couple of hours but has saved £££. I love how people spend time putting resources online to enable others to fix things.

Skinty glad you are back, keep stong sweetie

Narco good to hear DH is improving. Was thinking of you both yesterday as my 3 fairies were in the garden.

Lynne thanks fo mentioning caffine in soft drinks, wonder if this is part of DS1's issue especially as he does not drink tea or coffee.

Kitchen is all tidy. Going to make a cuppa for DH and put another load of washing on.

Lynne it is raining here too, we were lucky for a dry day yesterday but this is boring.
