Coping vibes for you, Lamewolf, and thank you so much for the information. It's helpful to know other people resort to chicken and beef although I try really hard not to.
I can't give her the NSAIDs I want to dose her up with for the pains in her head until she's eaten, but she won't eat when she's in real pain. Catch 22. I also worry about her because of the pancreatitis the advice for which is feed three times a day, but I think she's learned to play on my concern. Her output is highly satisfactory if you get my drift so although she's hardly eaten anything for two days I'm not pandering to her today. In despair yesterday I shut her in our bedroom - her 'go to' place when she's alone in the house - with a bowl of food and she ate half of it, so I have that as an emergency strategy.
I'm clearing some of the backlog of the paperwork mountain. OH noticed today that there is a 'Sold' sign on the house opposite. Slightly scary.Better is good enough.0 -
Lady Liberty so lovely of you to pop by, sending you vibes for a peaceful Christmas.
LW coping vibes forthis afternoon.
Just back from taking DS3 to see Nativity 3. DH has gone with the big ones to see The Hobbit. Time for a cuppa now before I start dinner and update my shopping lists.
Made a start in DH's office earlier. Come to the conclusion we really do keep too much stuff just incase, for sentimental reasons, because we may ebay it, don't know what to do with it. We need to get to grips with this. We have a loft full of stuff, a garage full of stuff, DH's office full of stuff and cupboards in the DR and LR full of stuff which we hardly ever use. Plan is to get some done on boxing day and hopefully fine the urge to get rid of stuff over the coming months. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Mount foldmore dealt with and put away.
Chicken gammon plait thingy made n in oven.
Dw emptied n reloaded.
Headache really banging now so will scoff I think n plonk sticky kids in bath then tackle the last of the wrapping ...
Hope event isnt too awful lw x0 -
Lady Liberty What a lovely surprise to see you on the thread! Yes, once a flylady, always a flylady!
:D
Skint good to see you back too, and I really hope that luck runs your way.
Today started with frantic present wrapping as I had four lots to do (why did I think it was a good idea to buy them three presents each?). I should have done them last night, but had a huge energy slump and retired to the sofa!
We planned to leave at 11, and managed 11.30, but still arrived with 15 minutes in hand. So lovely to spend time with all the family together, although my dad was looking a bit wobbly, he is still pretty mobile. This year's resolution really must be to go over once a month.
Lunch was delicious, and I won't be needing another meal for a day or two!
Tomorrow DD is hosting lunch for her friends from school, so I will be doing an early morning blitz of flying in the bathroom and kitchen before anyone else is up. Bizarrely looking forward to it...
I am also going to favourite nursery with DS2 to buy my Christmas present, as I requested geared loppers, and he has no idea what I want!:DIt is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Hi all, hope things get better for skinty and the social wasnt too bad for LW. I have spent most of the day in the kitchen cooking and getting things ready for our family get together tomorrow.
I am so tired now. OH is full of cold and was restless last night which doesnt help.0 -
Lovely to see LL and skinty posting. flylady vibes and spoons winging their way.
Tomorrow is hospital in the morning for DD2 - the results of the colonoscopy and MRI earlier this year. They will probably say it's IBS and she has to live with it. tough, because none of the meds work at all.
DS asked what I wanted. I told him to get me 1 of 3 books. He came back empty handed - couldn't see them in Smiths. Why didn't you go to Waterstones? I asked...
We have a Waterstones in York? was his reply.
I'm getting it for myself....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Kiddies driving each other distracted this afternoon. So after an early tea, which they both faffed with, I bundled them into cosy pjs and into the car. We drove around for 40min or so looking at all the Christmas lights. Think it did us all good.
Then I sent em to bed
I've done another hours work, plus a bit of prep for next year, and had some shopping delivered.
Feeling much better for a fast day. Had 2 shakes and a few nibbles. Tummy is loads happier. Think I'll go for a soak in the bath and hope the kiddies are not up to early tomorrow... Although we are going out to play so that's a bit of a break for us all.
LW hope it wasn't too bad this aft xBossymoo

Evening all, sorry thread for next week is late. I've been decorating the Christmas tree and living room for Christmas finally. I thought Kiwi would help me but he curled up under the chair next to it and didn't show any interest at all.. I'm going to have to go bed dosed up on paracetamol as the pain in my elbow/wrist is absolutely killing me. Poor Dave couldn't help as he is suffering with quite a horrific cold- bless him. I dragged him round Morrisons earlier to do my Christmas food shopping and I think it nearly killed both of us
Anyway off to do the list for you guys..keep your eyes peeled

Natty I don't know if you can take it but ibuprofen is better for bone pain than paracetamol. This piece of information came from my sister who trained as a specialist orthopaedic (bone) nurse.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
