Lazy morning so far, only recently showered and dressed. Early lunch for the littlies - using up some freezer bits. Garlic bread has vanished. Just as well, it smelt rather tempting.
So I've just put a wash on, trying to keep ahead. Oh, we did move the sofa to retrieve a toy and swept up all the dust bunnies <yuck>.
Just as well wet are having a quiet day, we've already had tears here. It's not like DS to be so touchy, he's usually quite good a laughing things off but got a bit upset when, after snatching DDs Lego, I took a piece out of his train track. He ended up sat on the step to regain his composurebless him. He's still not 100% well I don't think.
Really need to get some cash if we go out later. I have nothing in the house.
My next jobs are to sort the kitchen after lunch and then go and tackle DD wardrobe. They are watching Barbie in the Nutcracker.
Wow mamaninie you'll be eating turkey until Easter! What a haul! My shopping is coming tonight, but I don't have anything exciting like joints of meat - hopefully I'll get everything on my list, it'll be like an early Santa visit, lol, I can't remember what I have ordered!Bossymoo

Can I creep in & say hello? :hello:
Long time no see (sorry!) but I had to come & say thank you so much for all my wonderful Christmas cardsyou are all too kind :A
I'm still taking one day at a time .. was due to have more major surgery on the 11th but they cancelled the night before!! Probably just as well or I would have spent Christmas in hospital.
I hope all who remember me are well & hello to any who don't have a clue who I am :rotfl:
Thanks Natty for being postie again
It's true what they say once a flylady always a flylady .. bless you all & I wish you a fantastic Christmas & peaceful 2015 xxxxx“Cancer has my body but not my spirit, and I’ll continue to make jokes, not so much about cancer, but in spite of it” Irwin Barker0 -
Dr Pepper Gammon in the Skint Ritz for lunch today......the veggies/vegans are having Dr Pepper mixed roast veg.......I am tempted to take the laptop out to the kitchen and play Froz£n on the DVD and get some angry cleaning done.
But my head is buzzing with legalese, historic stuff which might be important and watching for Admiral Ahkbar "its a Trap!" so looks like I will be trying to get emergency appointment before I have even instructed them. The EX is too tricky and using the holiday season to force things down a difficult route.....
I think I will head off to Iceland later for a tub of their own ice cream which IMHO is better than Jen & Berry's .......seeing as I don't smoke and rarely drink, I should be allowed one tiny weensey vice all to myself.
Right, time to make some progress of some kind.........The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Dinner booked, stuff taken to Dad's and car insurance updated ready for collecting the car tomorrow
Lady-Liberty - so wonderful to see you posting on here; you're right, you are always a flylady"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Food cupboards sorted, two carrier bags of stuff thrown out (yikes) and dogs walked again. Time to relax...Spend less now, work less later.0

Lady Liberty how lovely to "see" you.:o
We've had our dins - Mr LW asked me to do Qu0rn fillets in white wine sauce; it's one of his favourite meals. As is our custom, we shall have our pud later (I can't eat a pud straight after main course). And there's champagne in the fridge, which we'll have this evening when we get home - see next paragraph.:D
We'll be *gulp* popping across the road for the dreaded social event in a little while, so I thought I'd do a swift post first as I'll probably be in shock afterwards.:rotfl:
HB sorry to hear Mrs Dog isn't co-operating regarding food; Ronnie's not eating full rations, but tbh, I think his owners give him rather a lot anyway, as he's quite a tubby little chap. At the moment I'm putting out a small helping for him (I don't want to put out lots and just have to throw it away) and using the cooked beef and chicken pieces his owner sent to try and encourage him to have some. I find if I push these down into the food, he scoops up some dog food with the beef/chicken. It's fairly successful, but even then, he's quickly had enough, at which point even beef/chicken doesn't impress him. But he's also having biscuits, which I can get his interest in by batting them around the floor for him (can't exactly do that with wet food  ) so he's getting something in him, at least.
He's been brushed, so he's all tidy for once - he's long-haired so gets untidy very quickly.
Anyways, I need to throw a bit of war-paint on and find some jewellery, so I'd better hit "submit" and go and get on.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
hope your afternoon isnt too stressful LWSPC~12 ot 124
