Possibly or just that I was in bed watching a film and fell asleep during it. Although I won't deny I was tired! Two open water swims a 200 mile drive in under 24 hours will do that to anyone I suspect.

The words "I'm exhausted" in the message previous to that kind of gave it away. Or my clairvoyance was kicking in.

Not so sure, this is my Dad's house, I only visit a couple of times a year - and I'm pretty sure the things I brought from Dad's back to my flat don't count as decluttering just rearranging the clutter :D

You're decluttering your *life* not just a given location. The three fairly bulky items is part of that.

Need to print some docs and check train times for a couple of S.E jobs tomorrow before work

How is the "not working where you work" job hunt going on?

    - it'll be a relatively early start as I have a 20 min train trip to one town, 40 mins back down the line to the next town before coming home again - wondering if I can get away with a return ticket for the total trip or will have to get returns from my 'start' point out to each town separately.

If town A is en-route to town B and it's not a "Advanced" fare ticket, I'm pretty sure (check T&Cs) you can break your journey in town A given a return ticket to town B.

I've checked, the anytime return fare is more expensive than the two returns. Although I have found that theres a local area railcard I can apply for which will get me a discount on all but the shortest trips locally, I just wont be able to get it tomorrow.

I've applied for three jobs last week but not heard anything from any of them, have a reasonably quiet week at work this week so along with some light training for the tri next weekend I'll keep looking and hopefully find something worth going for.

I've also scanned and packed a box of books and DVD's for ziffit will drop those off tomorrow if I can find a drop off place.

Didn't get to the drop off for the books, am headed in to town tomorrow for another S.E job so will have anothe go, at the same time as returning the cabin bag I bought to fly to Scotland as the zip is broken on the side pocket. My preference is to just get my money back but I'll swop it if I have to.

In the meantime I'm ploughing through surveys as much as my attention span will allow.

Given how little time I've spent at home lately I feel like all I ever seem to be doing is washing - tonights joy is a load of towels - bath and kitchen, once that's done I'll sort a load of clothes to go in tomorrow when I go out so hopefully I can get at least some done and drying before I go to work.

Shop wouldn't refund the bag so I have a new one, might try to sell it on.

    Box of books dropped off.

A few more surveys done while I was at work this evening, I cycled to and from work, the ride to work was painful, amazing how draining a long not particularly steep incline can feel - esp when it's a series of bumps at the top which are themselves one slightly taller than the last with very little flat or down hill between rises.

Car goes in for a service tomorrow, hopefully I'll be able to wait for it, if not I'll walk home (its a couple of miles) and go back to pick the car up on my way to work early evening.

Depending on how my legs feel I might cycle to the pool - I ordered some new goggles a few days ago as mine are virtually dead (seals are starting to go) and want to try them out before the weekend in case I need to go buy my usual cheapo brand ready for the tri.

    Another short shift at work.

Dropped my car off for its service this morning, was a lovely walk home from the dealership, ran back to pick up the car this evening before work - that was somewhat less lovely. My new road trainers are rubbing the back of one heel, no real reason for it that I can see.

I think I'll wear my trail shoes for the tri, although that depends on them being dry before then - since Tough Mudder I've still not got all the mud and grit out of them so have kept them inthe shower so I can keep rinsing them out but I think I need to dry them now!

They're currently sat on a window ledge under an open window with newspaper in the toes.

Newspaper in the trail shoes swopped again - still feels very damp in there!

Decluttering in the kitchen has included one packet of cake mix, and the last couple of eggs from the fridge, also 2 litres of sparkling water and a Robinsons Squash'd.

The bike rack is on the car. And I'm trying to have a nap on the sofa but one of the brats from round the corner is currently hurtling around on a motorised teatray squealing, if its anything like the last few days this will be happening for the next hour am tempted to use up the balloons and flour by dropping them out of my living room window at said brat next time it comes past.

You may need somewhere warmer than the window.

    Eaten or chucked?

Put oil down on the corners.

The windows the warmest place in the flat in the evening as the sun's directly on it - will take the shoes to work tomorrow and put them in the laundry room as thats always boiling on a warm day hopefully that'll be enough to get them to a point they're at least comfortable to get on! Once I'm in them am not too worried about it as they were comfy when wet and mucky while I did the T.M its just getting them on quickly after the swim that I need them dry for.

Eaten - well I say eaten there are still a couple of muffins on the counter.

I'd say it's a go kart but they should always be human powered.

If I had any oil handy I would but the only "safe" corner would be the one right near said brats house, the corner at the end of the path under my flat is quite narrow and has garages on one side and a garden wall on the other (making the speed brat is travelling even more inappropriate, can't see if anyone's walking the other way from the garage blocks).
