In fairness you're pretty much describing what my friends do with me when I'm particularly spectacularly drunk.......

Early start at work today. Long day, but at least am home now, I think the humid weather and dehydration from cycling, wine and pizza last night have caused me to have a headache almost all day, keeping my hair tied back has been seriously unfun - I've taken a couple of painkillers drunk a couple of pints of water and am going to take a nap in hope of waking up with it gone later.

What? They plonk you on someone's knee and laugh themselves silly? That's not very nice of them...

    Hope you're feeling better now.

In fairness, I do the same when its one of them thats that level of spectaularly drunk.

Yeah slept for a couple of hours, had a light dinner when I woke up then felt like going for a run so went out for a 2 mile jog the muggy feeling seems to have broken so it was quite cool out which was nice. Just drinking plenty of water and some fruit juice now I'm home again so that I don't risk a dehydration headache again.

Before I nodded off I emailed a survey company I'd not recieved anything from for a while, had a reply pretty soon after saying I'd taken a survey abroad so my particpation had been stopped - checked the dates and it must have been the last day of my holiday in Turkey so I sent an apology explaining I'd not realised that a foreign IP was enough to get someone removed and they've reinstated me but I've been warned that they won't be able to reinstate me again if I break any other rules. Regardless it's a good result as they're one of the survey panels which pay well and have interesting surveys.

First survey in from the survey company that I emailed the other day. Need to make sure I take that one this evening.

Just home from a funeral in Cheltenham, my Dad's second (ish) cousin, was lovely to see his daughter and her family as we've not seeen then since they moved to Australia just before their second child was born so we've never met the younger two before. Just a shame is was on this occasion. It was definitely the send off he'd have wanted, lots of laughter and people in the cars he loved - always remember going to the Hose Trials on Cross Country day with them in their old car and going back to their house to find three more of them on the drive in various states of dismantlement/rebuilding.

    Open Day at work survived.

Another 4 days in work then am off up north again for the Great North Swim weekend. So that'll be a 1 mile swim in Lake Windermere, just hope I have time to either get to the lake one evening this week or at the very least to the pool.

Am planning to either run or cycle this evening once it's cooled down a bit (and I'm not feeling completely stuffed from eating cake, and spanish scrambled eggs).

I love my job I love my job I love my job.

    Convincing anyone yet?

Cannot wait to get north on Friday, of course next week involves some difficult conversations, and alot of job hunting - spoke to an agency today, not sure the role they were talking about is necessarily for me but was good to actually hear from someone.

In the meantime money wise I've pulled £5 in to paypal from postal surveys, booked a s.e job for next week. Baby steps.

    Another day survived.

Headed north tomorrow for the Great North Swim, swimming in the 10.30 am wave on Saturday, hoping to finish it in about 45 mins, we're staying in a hotel about a 10 min walk from the swim venue Friday night (albeit its then another 30 min walk to the start line from the info pack). My lovely Canadian is planning to come and watch the swim then coming to Dad's on Saturday for what will hopefully be a BBQ (weather permitting).

The only person you need convincing is you. And it doesn't look like you are.

Well enjoy your swim, your Canadian and your BBQ.

Swim done, about 3 mins slower than my Great London swim time, but given a lack of training and it being a vastly different environment that was expected. I now have 4 weeks before the first tri of the year and 5 weeks before Great London so best start to do some training!

My plans for the week have been rearranged somewhat - there are some additional guests tomorrow so instead of having a day off and going to the coast to do a s.e job I'll be working and taking Weds off instead, which possibly works better as I can either go to the lake for a swim or the forest for a run after my shift.

Also got a test prodct in the post today, it'sa horrible thing when you have to eat chocolate, answer some questions and get paid for it. Thank the deities it doesnt happen more often.
