I have alcohol, but I realised while sat on the sofa eating tortilla chips with hummous I probably wasn't doing myself any favours in terms of getting back in to it tomorrow morning!

Took me almost 10 mins to get out of it again.

    Mermaid's don't have these problems.

No, you need someone else there. It's all fun and games until one of you loses it and starts laughing hysterically. Then it's hilarious... :rotfl:

No, probably not. Not unless the part that's tight is a part that tortilla and hummous never touches.

    It's exercise.

    All to the good! :T

Mermaids don't have alcohol, tortillas and hummus either. They're probably more sushi people...

After my swim yesterday morning I decided that I should to in to London for a few drinks with friends.

Calculated my alcohol units this morning - I concluded that drinking port by the pint is unwise. Didn't feel too drunk last night nor particularly hungover today but I was shattered (although as I only got home at 2am and was up at 7am that was expected).

Not happy, have to be out of bed, acting like a semi normal human being and awake in 3.5 hours. Currently sat on the floor at the end of my bed at work feeling queasy. Last time I felt this bad entirely sober was a couple of years ago when I accidentally cooked with a fish oil heavy sauce. Dinner was at work this evening, bangers and mash with homemade mash and onion gravy, and the same sausages we've always used.

This is going to make my plans for the daytime unfun! It's Babcock Trophy day, and I'm meant to be on a train to Twickenham so I can meet friends around 11am, likely won't be home until the last train from London as I have a couple of friends staying with me who both want to meet up with different friends after the game.

I was wondering why you were up at 4am.

Well I hope you've extracted as much fun as you can, given the situation. It always happens when it's the most inconvenient.

The clear solution to feeling rough is a litre of vodka, bottle of wine, and topping it off with a few pints of cider plus swigging from a variety of hip flasks over a 13 hour day out.

It was a good rugby game, but not a good result for the Army team, we drew after 29-29 which was enough to technically hand the trophy to the Navy.

Was great to see friends as always and ran in to a couple of faces from the past which was lovely. Weather was kind barring a short shower at lunchtime.

Sent the second o my two friends home today - while it was lovely to see them my antisocial side was happy to lock the door behind me once I got home!

I'm planning to swim after work tomorrow, hopefully it won't be too cold and I'll not struggle too much with the whole fitting in the wetsuit thing - I weighed myself on Friday morning and again this morning, there is an increase of almost 6lb. Today has as a result been all about swigging from my filtered water bottle and trying to ignore the tasty junk food.

Going to have to go to the shop on my way home from work or the lake. I fear healthy food won't be high on my wishlist after a swim so will try to go before if I have the time.

It'll just be water retention. Six pound of fat is approx 20,000 calories, six pounds of water is zero. Which is more likely?

Yup, I know its the booze but it's a slightly scary thing to see just how much of an effect it has! Although consumption of 20,000 calories isnt entirely out of the question some weeks!

Not gone swimming tonight as the lake hadn't enough staff to safely open. So am currently sorting out the mountains of washing which seem to have accumulated over the last week. Got a mixed load of colours in the machine now, with a full load of jeans to go in there next, then it's just the sheets, towels, black stuff (mainly work trousers) and white (mainly work shirts). I suspect that it'll take a few days to get through it all given my limted drying space - esp now with the bike downstairs I can't risk just leaving the front door open with the washing on airers until I get permission to put up some sort of a storage solution for it.

Sleepy few days outside of work!

I have however taken myself out for a bike ride and a run this evening instead of passing out on the sofa - 6 mile ride and a 2 mile run.

Must remember the wobbly leg feeling take a mile or so to wear off and trying to jump over logs on the tow path is unwise with wobbly legs.
