Baby is infact gorgeous. I still have no particular desire to have one but she is adorable.
Just wait until she's two...scubaangel wrote: »I came home with a bag containing a birthday present (left in the car so I don't open it until tomorrow), and a box of things as a thank you for dog sitting gift - you know you have an amazing friend when you carry a box of wine, a bottle of wine, and a bottle of Pimms out of her house alongside two lovey big wine glasses in thanks for doing something I did because I was able to do something to make a challenging weekend easier for two people I care about.
Which is how she knows she has an amazing friend.scubaangel wrote: »The alcoholl is in the cupboard and I intend to get it out again when shes drinking again.

When she's two I'll be even more sure I don't want one of my own!
She's not been drinking for over a year as she was on antibiotics before she got preg, and for now she's feeding so it's not a great plan to be drinking yet. Which is why I'm going round one evening next week for a couple of pints of icecream and cuddles with a hopefully awake but placid baby. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I'm sure you'll be a trusted baby sitter and won't stuff her full of sugar and caffeine, then hand her back to her parents whilst sniggering...scubaangel wrote: »She's not been drinking for over a year as she was on antibiotics before she got preg,
That's me swearing off antibiotics now... :eek:scubaangel wrote: »and for now she's feeding so it's not a great plan to be drinking yet. Which is why I'm going round one evening next week for a couple of pints of icecream and cuddles with a hopefully awake but placid baby.

Would I do a thing like that....... actually I probably wouldn't I'd be out having a few drinks with my friend while we leave her husband at home with baby.
It's ok I think you ought to be safe....unless you're a seahorse in which case that might not be a bad idea.
That's my plan, plus I feel that babies need to know they can grow up and become anything they want to so I'll be taking the tail and fin so she has a picture of herself with a mermaid (probably excluding anything that would specifically identify me). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

And home from my busy weekend of Birthday and working.
Worked Saturday then drove down to see my Dad, and sister to stay at a friend of my Dad's house for the night, lovely meal in a local hotel restaurant. Fairly short run on the beach Sunday morning then headed back north to Surrey for another muchly fun day at work.
Had a wander around the film set, it's incredibly realistic until you walk to one side and see the wood frame supporting the ruined stone work.
Had a short shift this afternoon then popped to the supermarket for some shopping as I have tomorrow off work and needed some fresh food.
While there found that said supermarket has a shell print bikini in their current range so I may have come home with a yellow bikini covered in white shell pictures to go with the tail which has not yet arrived......sadly it doesn't match the lovely blue green knitted tail which was the pressie from my friend and her Baby. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Shame you had to work it.scubaangel wrote: »Worked Saturday then drove down to see my Dad, and sister to stay at a friend of my Dad's house
Does your Dad's house have a wide social circle?scubaangel wrote: »for the night, lovely meal in a local hotel restaurant. Fairly short run on the beach Sunday morning then headed back north to Surrey for another muchly fun day at work.
It's strange, but my sarcasm detector twitched into the next county at that sentence...scubaangel wrote: »Had a wander around the film set, it's incredibly realistic until you walk to one side and see the wood frame supporting the ruined stone work.
Is that the stone known as "polystyrene", or are they using different materials now?scubaangel wrote: »Had a short shift this afternoon then popped to the supermarket for some shopping as I have tomorrow off work and needed some fresh food.

That's nice. Though forcing a baby to knit already is probably a bit rough..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I suspect better than mine.
This lot looks like fibreglass and foam, felt too hard to be ploystyrene. Lots of work been going on over there today, have a couple of late shifts this week so will go over after work to see what else has been built (there were pieces of what looked like a small aircraft half built yesterday).
Tiny baby, tiny fingers all the better to work the wool surely.
In other news small payment landed in paypal from streetbees today. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Yeah, yeah - you seem to have a good social circle even if they aren't hard-drinking 20 yr olds.scubaangel wrote: »Tiny baby, tiny fingers all the better to work the wool surely.
Better off working the salt down the mines...scubaangel wrote: »In other news small payment landed in paypal from streetbees today.
