I'm really really good at faking being a cheerful human happy to be around other people. Mostly its only my team know just how hard I work to fake it in front of guests - more over they've almost got the coffee/cake equation right to help me sustain said facade.
Shocking isn't it, woman in her 30's with no make up, natural hair colour (other than sun bleaching), and a set of hair straightners that haven't been used quite possibly in 3 or more years.
If I was capable of staying interested when sat at a desk/behind a counter all day without dealing with other people I would do, but the painful reality is if I'm not moving around I sit down and go to sleep no matter where I am (probably why I drink so many cups of tea at home).
A new saddle if required will be a next month/next big payout item, I've a few pairs of cycle shorts which are nicely padded and with my fairly minimal plans to ride I'll be fine for the time being.
It seems to be a special offer rate but I agree on the whole quidco haven't been good for much other than the grocery section lately, and most of that is for the 1p for uploading a receipt to the amazon voucher comp since it's quite rare that the stuff they have is stuff I need. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Home from another thrilling day at work.
The mystery shop I did last night has been approved and passed for payment so I've requested that (£4+£2.50 reimbursement). And there was a quick audit task to do at a shop near work so I did that on my way home which should give me another £6 when it's paid in a few weeks towards the balance of the bike cost.
Speaking of which I ordered it this morning. £575, with £50 trade in discount for the old bike and 4% cash back. Although the cash back has only tracked at £430 so I need to get in touch with quidco to check on that. With the money from Christmas and the swagbucks money I've already transferred a £500 payment to the credit card to offset the spend.
Quite incredibly because I ordered very early this morning the warehouse managed to get in on to this mornings lorry to my chosen click and collect store, and they called me earlier to ask if I wanted to make an appointment to collect it tomorrow afternoon. I'm working unfortunately so will be going for it on Monday. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well someone accused me the other day of being enthusiastic. My flabber was never so ghasted...scubaangel wrote: »Shocking isn't it, woman in her 30's with no make up,
Not really - not everyone hides behind war paint. Some women look rather nicer "scrubbed". The Bride of Wildenstein looked pretty nice "before"...scubaangel wrote: »natural hair colour (other than sun bleaching),
The sun - despite being nuclear powered - is 100% natural too...scubaangel wrote: »and a set of hair straightners that haven't been used quite possibly in 3 or more years.
I never really understood the concept of that. Everyone with straight hair gets a perm, and everyone with curly hair irons it flat...scubaangel wrote: »A new saddle if required will be a next month/next big payout item, I've a few pairs of cycle shorts which are nicely padded
All the saddles I've seen would require a well-stuffed goose-down pillow to be anywhere comfortable...scubaangel wrote: »Home from another thrilling day at work.
That good eh? Although you probably don't want a *really* thrilling day... :eek:scubaangel wrote: »Quite incredibly because I ordered very early this morning the warehouse managed to get in on to this mornings lorry to my chosen click and collect store, and they called me earlier to ask if I wanted to make an appointment to collect it tomorrow afternoon. I know it makes no sense does it, I guess I'm lucky in that my natural hair colour is one alot of people spend a fortune to mimic, and it's a decent natural texture - I can blow dry it pretty straight or can attempt to plait it and dry it to make it wavy. Just not alot else as its so heavy because its so thick.
Agree alot of women look alot better without piles of slap or cosmetic surgery, such a shame that they don't realise it before hand.
Very true, I'm assuming I'll need to buy a saddle at some point. The plan at the moment is to go pick it up with the old bike by train, then get back on the train with the new one to go to work in the afternoon and cycle home from work in the early evening after rush hour. Then decide if I need to replace the saddle immediately or at a later date. Although another priority is a bike rack for the car - am not sure I want to go for lifting a bike on to the car roof which leaves me with back mounted racks to research and then see if what I pick will cover the numberplate or not.
We ought to have a few interesting days around work over the next few weeks - the English Heritage site we can see across the lake is currently closed for film set to be built on site. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

You can't say thick these days. It's "challenged"...
Good hair is such a boon if you can be bothered with it. Mine is pretty long at the moment (and the novelty still hasn't worn off) but it means I have to comb it. Normally it's too short to be *able* to comb it...scubaangel wrote: »Agree alot of women look alot better without piles of slap or cosmetic surgery, such a shame that they don't realise it before hand.
Because companies sell a lot of advertising time to convince women that whatever product they are selling will give them "confidence". The do this by sowing false doubt. So apparently men will know if you're wearing some designer slap or other, which implies a lot of interest in something that men don't have have a lot of interest in.

From previous experience it doesn't tend to have too much impact on the traffic as we're so rural, it;s interesting watching them building additional ancient stone walls out of polystyrene and scaffolding though. I've not been over for a closer look yet but from the bridge (about 30m away from the nearest bits) it all looks pretty realistic. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hit enter too soon.
Just home from a fairly brief visit to my friend and her baby.
Baby is infact gorgeous. I still have no particular desire to have one but she is adorable.
I came home with a bag containing a birthday present (left in the car so I don't open it until tomorrow), and a box of things as a thank you for dog sitting gift - you know you have an amazing friend when you carry a box of wine, a bottle of wine, and a bottle of Pimms out of her house alongside two lovey big wine glasses in thanks for doing something I did because I was able to do something to make a challenging weekend easier for two people I care about. The alcoholl is in the cupboard and I intend to get it out again when shes drinking again. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

It has to look realistic, otherwise the cameras will highlight it with being so close. Do you know what it is? A period bodice-ripper?
Apparently, the last TV show that turfed me out of my favourite lounging place was Beowulf."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I do but :silenced:
We're having to lie to the guests when they ask which is awkward as I'm a terrible liar.
Am hoping to go see the last film which used the site as a location next week sometime - The Huntsman, we think it's just a few minutes of scenes at night (since it was all night shoots) so hopefully some of it will be recognisable. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

And it's not like you can deliberately over-egg it into parody either.
