Half way through the week and I'm shattered!

In other news I have two mystery visits to do before weekend, one tomorrow morning and the other on Friday afternoon I think. First though I need to put the new printer ink in to the printer and get it working so I can print out the authorisation letters.

Got letters from gas/elec co this afternoon, I'll be paying a combined dd of £81.

Still not got around to finding the water meter, next weeks job I think now, as I want to go north this weekend.

Better than being shattered at the beginning of the week. Hard day?

It's just a busy week so I've done 3x 9 hour days so far, another tomorrow and then a nice short 6 hour day on Friday before my attempt to drive north.

There are some things I want to bring down but among others I want to give some stuff to Mum as my Step Dad is taking their spanish car back to Tenerife next week and I may as well send it with him than carry it in my handluggage on my next visit.

Well, EARLY night tonight. You don't want to knacker yourself out. Crashing on the motorway isn't big, and isn't clever...

Definitely seems like a good idea. Just so long as you don't send too much to return with.

It might help me get a better car sooner though.....£4k for the Fiesta plus whatever I could get for the KA.......(KA originally being paid for from my car savings account anyway).

Today I had the very nice surprise of a cashback cheque from plusnet, so will take myself to the village bank tomorrow morning to change my address and pay it in.

I've also been invited to do the overnight host duty at one of the functions later this year, which means I get paid to hopefully just sleep on site obviously if there are any emergencies it becomes alittle more stressful but assuming noone tries to burn the place down/jump out of windows it's an easy way to earn a bit of extra cash while not driving to and from work and getting fed "officially" - catering staff meals are an unofficial perk when we're on shift but noone is daft enough to ask the chefs not to make extra.

That's almost enough to get you a new Dacia... ;)

Fair sized village if it has a bank.

If someone burns the place down, you have greater troubles than a crappy shift.

Are you back "oop North" now?

    I am now. :D

Hmm I've seen a few new Dacia's around, don't like them at all. Been in one feels like it's powered by an elastic band (although thats the 1 litre eco boost variety or some similar environmentally friendly rubbish).

No really small village, but there was always a local branch here, and RBS haven't got around to closing it down yet, I reckon next time it gets robbed it'll be the end of it.

Having arrived in the north I have decided that I really need to get the heater thing sorted out in the car. Today after 70 motorway miles the heater stopped displaying any ability to provide me with cold air, by 200 miles the cd player was refusing to soldier, displaying 'Heat' on the display and turning itself off. Those last 40 miles seemed to last forever!

I think I also need to replace the switch/check the wiring to the instrument panel lights as they didn't come on until I'd switched them on and off a couple of times this evening.

I thought you might not, which is why I said it with a wink... ;)

It could be worse - it could be a fiat 500. Expensive eco rubbish.

Somebody at work also said that the Citroen C1 (IIRC) in Eco mode was "powered by a dead hamster"...

Sounds like they could be part of the same problem, a loose plug/wire on your central console.

I've spoken to the previous owner of the KA, apparently they had a similar problem a couple of years ago and it was a loose wire, although both problems seem to be relatively common individually as well on KA's of its age so I'm going to try and get it in to the garage who did the work on it for the old owners next weekend.

I quite like the looks of the 500 but it's far too small and the 500L is a weird ugly thing.

So far today I've achieved pretty much nothing, I overslept so didn't get to the bank before it closed at lunchtime, been to see my Nana and opened some post.

Need to start sorting through the stuff here and getting it in to the suitcases brought with me.

Well I've decluttered a bag of crisps, a couple of tea bags and the rest of the milk....

I've also decluttered my paypal account of £1.25 in return for an Emozioni coin using my loyalty points and a £10 discount code on the Hot Diamonds website.

Trying to work out the cost of posting a standard size DVD so I can get back in to the habit of ebaying the ones I don't want/need/were the ex's.
