I've not driven one often so when I have done they've felt too bad and uncomfortable as a result, but beyond that no particular feelings either way, as long as it's nothing on the bigger end of the scale.

No, I was just thinking it's one way of getting extra space at the back without making everything else bigger. The Countryman being one of the better selling minis for example.

I've periodically contemplated a motorbike then go off the idea again.

    Any reason why?

But with my trip to work as it is there are too many blind bends and dips in the road not to mention the very poor road surfaces for me to even think about it.

Yes - the roads are a bit bad these days.

True, when I start actively looking I've no idea what I'll be looking at, I expect I'll look at what money I want to spend and then start thinking about makes and models from there, at the moment I'm not over hung up on the idea of a brand new car either, I'd be happy with something a couple of years old if it meant I was getting a better deal.

I don't know its an occasional notion that I could learn but I've never really seriously considered it I guess. Partly as a friends wife was involved in an accident while on a bike lesson which nearly killed her which has always been somewhat off putting.

Well I've never had a new car. Even this one where I spent enough to get a new car (or two ), isn't new. You are able to get a much better car if you can accept that the colour may be not something you'd choose.

This may be easier for men - the first question my mother asked me when I said I'd bought a new car: "What colour is it?"

I would imagine that would be somewhat off-putting. I've decided I'm going to go for a license. May as well before they tighten the test up so much you have to ride while patting your head and rubbing your stomach...

You mean cars come in colours other than dusty, dirty and growing their own lifeform colour? And I really wish I was joking about that, I'm the one who almost never washes their car inside or out.

It was one of those horrible freak occurences which simply couldnt be predicted or avoided - her instructor said that if it'd had happened to them they couldn't have done anything other than what she did.

Reasonable day today, my alarm didn't go off this morning so I slept longer than I planned. Took myself off two stops down the train line to the station with free parking and in to the town to get my mystery shop done. Shop done fairly easily, wandered to a branch of Mr M's to pick up some bits and pieces which are on offer there and have cashback available via shopitize, clicksnap and snapnsave. The train home.

Mine gets a wash every time it rains. Which is pretty often.

I must admit, I never really notice my car colour as I'm sat inside looking out and I can't see much of it at that point. It could probably do with being more distinct from other cars, but many colours just don't do it for me...

You certainly had a productive day. I just did paperwork and forms.

    Joy! :j

Not really productive just one mystery shop but I need to get back in to the mindset of need to get out of bed and do them rather than new job has a better salary have a lie in!

I still need to write up said mystery shop.

I have however submitted the reciept to the assorted websites to get the pennies back - I discovered when I was submitting the reciepts that Mr M don't say what flavour on the reciept one of the things I bought is, a flavour specific option was on one of the cash back sites, although I didn't buy that flavour I've cheekily submitted it anyway.

That's a good mindset to have. I probably waste too much of the weekend. But at least most of the bureaucracy is done now...

It's so easy to just waste time when you don't have to be at work!

Yeah am working Monday, just not sure what time (checking means finding the rota but that means getting out from under the blanket on the sofa). You?

I know, but I should do better. Rather than just use them to recover for work, I should be sweating those weekends... ;)

Yes, although I still have 10 days holiday left to "spend" before the end of the financial year. I will mostly use them to move I think.

    Do you have holidays planned?

Nah recovering from work is good, wasting time less so. But then people think I waste time when I think I'm recovering at times.

Not yet, looking at a few days mid April but work haven't confirmed the time off yet for me. If I don't get away then I'll prehaps look at something later in the year maybe a dive trip to somewhere like the Red Sea if I can save the money towards it while reducing the debt.
