January Grocery Challenge 2015

Hi Everyone,
I haven't done this challenge for yonks, but I'm very conscious that I'm back in the habit of spending "whatever it takes" on groceries, so I'm going to join in for a while to get me back on track. I have updated my signature with target NSD and NDieselD to help me focus.
I have a freezer and store cupboard absolutely crammed with "stuff", so crammed, I barely dare open the doors, and I certainly can't see what is in there, let alone manage to get it out...but hey, I won't starve if I get snowed in for a month or more, and moving food around in the freezer and trying to shut the door afterwards will keep me occupied :rotfl:
I add things like cat litter and cat food, as well as soap powder, toothpaste etc into my challenge, but even with those things, I will be very upset with myself if I spend £100 in January. (This is me practising being upset with myself )
Happy New Year to you all, let's make 2015 a good'un

What do I have to do to join please? I'm a single mum to two sporty teenagers who are always hungry so keeping my food spend down is a constant battle! I'm going to have a go at £150.00 in January as my stocks are pretty good. Thank you and Happy New Year to you all.January 2018 Grocery Challenge - £0/£300.
Saving for Xmas 2017 - £0/£2000.
Emergency Fund - £0/£1000.

Please count us in for an annual budget of £2,500 for the 2015 GC. Working with a total spend for the year has worked out better for us so will be trying this again.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year.#Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain #We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us #If you focus on what you have left behind, you will never see what lies ahead - Gusteau/RatatouilleGC 2022: £0/£2,500 total spend0 -

I tried this last year and it worked for a while then things happen and I lost my way.
So it's time to try again. We are 3 adults and a greyhound.
I have set us the challenge of £10 a day to include all cleaning and toiletries and dog food.
So for January that is £310. I have Tesco, Aldi and Asda all quite local so if I can I will also walk to the shops which will help cut down the fuel bill.
Wish me luck, with my Husband I need all the help I can get.

Logging in with a spend of £18.06 today. £16.70 of that was to replenish store cupboard items such as rice, cream crackers, honey, mustard etc which we had totally used up. But that will now last at least 2 months in the case of sauces etc. My best bargain today was a packet of YS sausages which had been discounted from £1.89 to £1.68. I then used a 25p off sausages coupon so got £0.46p off. Then used 7p found coins to take the total to 0.53p saved.
I will now not be shopping again properly for 4 days.

I have a kitchen full of food and cant think of what to make for dinner...does anyone else have this problem?
I know there is food there, but I am no good at looking in the fridge and just thinking of a meal.
Ah, think I'll try a tikka masala, but need to buy chicken and don't want to spend money. So maybe a veggie masala, with rice and nann bread. I have lots of veggies (peppers, carrots, onions, broccoli, cauli) to use up.
Spent 70p on a bottle of water today. Mainly spent it just to get the bottle which I will keep refilling all week for work.
I found a recipe for falafel so will do those today, desperate to get my new food processor out0 -
