  • Declaring today a NSD as been for a lovely walk, ended up walking by a group of people taking Lama's for a walk, totally surreal!!

Then called in at my mum's and she's sent me home with enough chilli to feed 4 of us tonight (other 2 don't like it and having last of leftover ham joint).
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

  • Please put me down for £150 for January. That's just under £5 per day and should be do-able. I went slightly over in December but now have a fair bit in the freezer to help out in January. Planning to spend less on meat and nothing on alcohol at all.
  • Hi, can I join too please?

I'd like to set an annual budget starting tomorrow and running til 31st December 2015, budget of £4000 to cover all food, cleaning products, toiletries etc for four and a half adults (one is away at university so only home some of the time), a cat and a dog.

Also, sorry if this has been covered (I've not had time to read all the posts) but what should we do if we have coupons? Will it be the total before coupons that is used or the discounted total? Or is it up to us?

    Thank you!

    Fab_and_frugal x

I've always done how much cash I actually hand over so price after coupons.

Please could you put me down for £150 for January this should be do able as both freezers and the cupboards are full!
This is for 2 adults, five children 11, 9, 7, 6 and 5 and the cat.We have got to be very careful with our finances as my job is very uncertain at the moment and it is looking likely there will be no job in 13 weeks. I never thought I would say that as a nurse :(

Just to let you know that if you use some spring onion and don't want to waste the rest, put it in a mug with a few centimeters of water (for the roots to go in) and it'll regrow :)

I do this with celery too, lasts for weeks and always grows a bit extra.
