Semi impulse shop today, well had planned to get a few bits for tonight but saw other things that made me 'oooh' that I didn't pick up over the weekend so spent more than intended, £13 in Mr T and £7 in £land.

my jan GC challenge starts on the 5th-today was given a gift of 2 bags of organic green lentils from my friend- so that is a good start - I tried the barley risotto from the recipe section- it is very good and very filling- did not have sweet potatoes so just used the ordinary white- will be trying more lentil and bean recipes instead of buying faux meat substitutes-Viola cheese is a good vegan cheese as is Vegusto grated for Pizza or anything else x:beer:

First spend of January for me. £27.57 in Tesc* which included a birthday cake and nibbles for tomorrow.:) £18.92 in Sainsbobs on pizzas dips and a few YS items. Total spend for today was £46.49. I reckon I can get 5 days worth out of this and as I'm budgeting £12 per day so it's not bad :)
Debt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

  • I would like to join please, as of tomorrow. I'm feeding myself, a 3year old and a housemate for dinner(although this isn't part of the rent arrangement!)

Fully stocked freezers and dry stores so only need fresh bits (although I have enough cheese for 2months!) therefore am breaking myself in gently with an £80Budget

  • My budget doesn't start until tomorrow but I went to Mr T tonight to get milk and I got lots of bargains. Bags of potatoes were 5p a bag - I got 6, I have taken them out of the plastic packaging and have put them in a potato sack I made out if hessian. Bananas were 1p,a bunch so I got 8 bunches. They are a bit bruised but I have put them in portions in the freezer for muffins, strawberries 3p, grapes 10p, posh sausages 45p. This is really going to help me keep costs fown for January.

Well as promised I withdrew £150 today, this should last me 2 weeks, but I will drag it out as long as possible.

    I bought 6 x 600ml double cream for 30p ea - now its 12 x oacks of butter and 3 x buttermilk in freezer :)

2 x aparagus @ 30p each - now in belly in the form of risott

Then went to bookers for a big spend - 2 x HUGE premium washing powders for £20 (for both) - 2kg decent mince £7 ( now 4 x freezer packs) 12 x kitchen rolls and 48 x loo rolls all for £36 - this will last us ages now.

So now I have £109.99 for 2 weeks - feeling confident at the moment
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

    £300/£130
