Morning everyone! Hope you're all good - sounds like we've all been busy and some exciting times to look forward to.

Hi to all the newbies:wave: welcome aboard this great thread.

Just working out what I've paid since my last post and I'll edit to update.

OK - just a small amount of £100.31, to various cards, but it's a good day today (hubby's payday, Tiny's first birthday :bdaycake: and my parents arrived yesterday for a short visit to help celebrate). Feeling good...

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon all!

number 180 checking in with a payment of £432 made off the MBNA card.

I have decided to abandon my previous plan of building up the card balance in my savings account and paying it off in December as I cant trust myself not to spend it, too many temptations, so at least if I pay it off the card directly each month I wont be tempted to spend it.

Yes I may forego a few pennies of earned interest, but its better than not being able to pay off the card! Im just not disciplined enough yet.

Hey all. Bit of a mixed past month for me. Was feeling quite plush end of last month, but how a few weeks can change things. Holiday ended up being a bit more pricey than expected, and have had to fork out for a few things on the cards temporarily - got knocked off my motorbike a few weeks back, and whilst his insurance look likely to pick up the tab, there have been a few unexpected expenses hiring vehicles etc etc off the back of this. Anyway, I have just put £1700 onto the credit cards to ease things, but due to the expenses, the overall total is only a little over a grand off my stated amount. Little disappointed, but still, it is a grand closer to being debt free.

The finishing line is in sight. All that is left is the 2.2k or so on the BoS credit card which is 0% until sometime back end of 2016. I could just let it play out, but I want to be debt free damn it. I was hoping to have it sorted by the end of September so I could save for three months to xmas, but not sure that this is possible now. The plus side is that if I do get an insurance pay out from my crash then this could well clear the whole lot and some. Fingers crossed.

    For now:

    Number 30 - £5757 / £7957 - percentage in my signature. Nearly 75% of the way there!

Sixth Anniversary Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
    Payday today at last :j

It's been a very frugal couple of weeks after running out of money half way through July, but I no longer have any credit card debt and no overdraft now either to be tempted by so I can only stay in credit now :)

The next debt I'm tackling is the tax credits overpayment. I still owe around £400 from last year plus they're going to add another £400 to pay this year. I'll give them a ring next week and try and get this all paid off in the next 2 months. Then it's on to the final debt - a bank loan with about £800 remaining.

Getting there but very impatient as well - wanna be debt free now! :rotfl:
    Starting 2016 debt-free :D
    Emergency Fund: £350/£1000
