That is such great news, I'm so pleased that you are feeling better. How exciting to be debt free by Christmas!!
Bogbrush, what did you decide to do about the job offer?
No extra payments for me yet, waiting for an invoice to be paid and then I'll be rounding it up to 25%.
DH is about to do a few big jobs that should bring in an extra £1k between them, and that's money we won't need for every day bills. I was hoping to put that towards the holiday however the car is due an mot next month and I don't think it will pass without spending at least £500 on it...we'll see. DH keeps hankering after getting a newer car but I just can't see how we can afford that. Hoping the car bill isn't too horrific as that will force our hand....hmmm...I hate it when we have extra money that I want to put towards debt/savings but it ends up being gobbled up by 'emergencies'. :wall: Time will tell I guess.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
I forgot to mention that I switched our bills account from Barclays to Santander 123 account so I'm looking forward to getting paid to pay bills!! It may only be a little but it's better than nothing!! I've also moved the money I had in DH's ISA to pay his tax bill each year so we should be earning the equivalent of 3% interest this month in the new current account as opposed to 1.25% in his ISA.
Plus I got £35 cash back from quidco for switching. Feeling good about that...it all adds up and it all helps. I also switched a personal acc to M&S (I'm going to get a linked saving account at 6% with them in Sept) and got £125 gift card which will pay for some of DD's new school uniform as she goes to Secondary school in Sept. There might even be a little bit left for some holiday clothes!!Sooo my bank balance is showing my wage (paid in Monday) and bloody Nora, someone hold me back! Oh and amr STEP AWAY FROM THE BANK ACCOUNT!! Just put your card away and no body needs to get hurt!!:rotfl:
