Not at all! More the merrier. I'll get you a number on my next update run, in the meantime good luck :)

I've set up a standing order for one credit card which has 12 months left to run on 0%, to clear it in that time I have to make payments of £425/month. It's going to be a challenge but YNAB says it's definitely do-able.

I'm waiting for the exact details of my second credit card before I can do the same; pretty sure the 0% runs out at the end of the year, but there is a lot less on this one.

    Roll on pay day!

No #19 here: £150 paid to HMRC today

    New total paid = £9,279.12 / £12,334.00
    Percentage paid = 75%
    • Mortgage over-payments to date: = £16,746
    • Original redemption date: August 2043
    • Current redemption date: July 2041
    • Debt: £15,930
    • Savings: £12,430
  • Just a smally update from me as I've put £210.08 towards my PCDL loan taking me up a percentage to 8%:

    #69 £1,555.26 / £17,685.31 8%

It's not as much as I'd hoped for with April's payday but May is going to be tough - still need to get a car, got plans most weekends, my sister's birthday, and on holiday from the 30th so it's an expensive month for me. :(

I've paid some money towards the CCs but they've just allowed me to break even so not counting those for this month.

Chasing my £35 Pandora refund from January - outstanding
Chasing my £19 train ticket refund from UoM - outstanding but my old Course Director HAS finally got hold of my claim form so that should be processed soon
Chasing HMRC to invoice for my UoM work - sending my UTR out in the post TODAY if Tracy on the phone this morning is to be believed so hopefully can get that claim in too!

Got my Pandora refund paid TODAY so put that in the savings account too! No word on the others as yet.

Hopefully I'll have an update before the end of April but I suspect any debt busting done will carry into May. Sorry it's been a low month for me guys, chipping away is still a great method but I feel bad I couldn't do more. Going to try and stay chipper tho - have got a holiday to look forward to after all! Also, my tax is now being paid on my last few pay packets so I need to get on that job market and squared away before August!

    Hi all

I may be back here for a few months soon. Miscalculated the fees for the purchase of the flat, well my broker did, so it's left us very critical in the money stakes. Thank the lords I got a huge bonus otherwise I think we'd be having to cancel buying.

So if/when we do complete we are going to need to get the essentials on credit. New fridge/freezer, washing machine etc. Hoping to find a bargain or two over the BH weekends next month.

Be honest Mat_Lock you just missed us all too much!! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about the miscalculations  but glad you were able to sort yourself out so things didn't fall through again.

We move into our new place *fingers crossed* in August so will be on the hunt for new utilities etc. We can mutually exchange bargains/deals and bore the pants off everyone else! :p
