Have a great Easter weekend all :)

Huzzah magsnoodle and Aphidgirl for clearing some of your debts in one fail swoop - it feels great to use that strikethrough font! :T

GunWharf and Abba1772 good luck in clearing those last few payments you each have on some of your debt elements - I bet you can taste the finish line approaching! :)

And special 'chin-ups' to Frogmellaandgill and greenanne. Not every day/week/month is a success and sometimes life just throws us a curveball we have to take in our stride, even when it's consequences can be so tough to deal with. You're here and you're sharing your thoughts with this thread so the hardest bit has already been done. Telling yourself (never mind anyone else) that you have debt you want to tackle! You will get there, and even small steps help. :) (How many £1.01 and £2.31 can you see hanging about on this thread? We MSEers love a small 'round-off' payment :money: )

I hope you find inspiration, support and all the virtual hugs you need here - good luck and keep going!

Kerry1986 - welcome to the madhouse! :D Love that you have set months for paying off stuff - after this Hen Do this weekend I may sit down and figure out what months I can look to clear some of my individual debts - keep me motivated (and give me a reason to look forward to November - 'cos it's not gonna be the weather is it?!)

Kittycat - not even going into your wage c*ck-up, that's poo! :( Hope you get it sorted pronto chick!

Lottie_clark I should get the OT in next months pay so its not all that bad, (although the OT this month would have been an overpayment on my bank loan - saving me ££ in interest!) as for the missing wages, i cannot contest it until i have a payslip (still waiting) i dont know how they have broken it down, how much tax, NI and pension i have paid.

I have been looking though some old payslips and for 8 years i had paid 5.9% of my salary into my pension, a few months ago this dropped to 5.5% without any warning or reason to it- i need to enquire about this too when i contact payroll re- missing wages.

The way my pay slip is written it takes a mathematical genius to figure out how they come to their sum. In December i worked an additional 3 days on a maternity cover post (it came to an end in december) - they didnt pay me for the 3 days but pro-rata'd it over the month, i complained and they said i get paid a salary not an hourly rate- i guess if i had just gone into work "pro rata" and taken the p*$$ they'd have something to say-

We will see what happens when i call them.

Its already going to be an interesting month- new system for claiming mileage - and its not working properly- i can see a lot of us being out of pocket at the end of the month.

    Hi all. Number 37 here.
All quiet on this front I'm afraid.
Going to be making the minimum payments on everything for a while (still £500 pm) as I need to save money to put towards the car in September, as the PCP deal runs out. I am going to have to take a loan to pay for some of it (it's a great car that I've thrown a lot of money into already and I don't want to get stuck in the constant vicious cycle of leasing) but I want that loan to be as small as possible, so I'm saving up towards the purchase price. I hate to have to take another loan but I really don't feel I have any choice - it's a modest reliable car that we can keep for 10 years + so I'm trying to see it as an investment rather than being defeatist about taking on the finance for an extended period. At least the debt total is still reducing! So far I've got 2k saved but quite a bit of that is earmarked for other things (fence fell down over the weekend to add to the long list of stuff!) so I'm trying hard to build up more.
My manager is having fun and games with me and not authorising my expenses in time for the next pay run (it's ok, I can live without the £190 I'm owed :mad::D), she does it to the entire team in turns, it drives us all bonkers, so I need to keep things tight this month to account for the fact I'm going to be short next month.
At least I've paid off over £4000 now!
Hope everyone's debt busting is going well and that you all had a lovely Easter :)
    Baby due 21/06/2017 :)
