I've been on a bit of a spending spree this weekend, well not too bad but still. And the worst part is I don't particularly feel guilty:o I'm telling myself I can make up for it on payday with the payrise :j

A lousy £1.01 paid to my Argos card today. My bank balance was odd (hate that). But at least its gone to my debts. This months income was significantly lower than usual due to sickness so really watching the pennies. Joy.
Done loads of overtime so next month will be fun to watch those figures come down. Nearly hit the 10% mark this month so hoping to be around 25% next month. Hoping.

    Happy Easter everyone.

    morning all.
it's been a while since I've posted and I don't seem to be on the first page anymore.
I havn't posted because instead of going down my debt has been going up and I just couldn't bring myself to record it.i have had to borrow from family members just to pay the bills because work has been so quiet.
The good thing now is that I have just started a new job which is full time.i just have to get through the next few months and then hopefully I can start paying my debts again
    thankyou.

A third paid off! I received a small PPI refund so off to see if I can find another payment...

  • Update for April in signature. Bit short on extra debt repayments this month as OH has changed jobs so his pay date has changed. It's messed us up a bit this month. Still pleased that I have reduced debt by £7,500 since January and not needed to put anything on cards as I have been saving for things we need and have started an emergency fund too.

I have also been very MSE and switched my bank account to the 123 account so I earned £5.43 in cashback this month on my DDs. Council Tax and Water will also earn me extra from this month.

I love my 123 account for this reason alone. Always nice.

    Hello :j

I would like to join this year's challenge please. I won't be debt free by this Christmas but I have been through the figures today and I know where I need to be by the end of 2015.

    Total Debt: £21,035.96
    Ford Finance: £8,043.80
    Very: £243.96
    Capital One Credit Card: £972.17
    Vanquis Credit Card: £2,000
    Halifax Credit Card: £2,056.05
    Barclay Card Credit Card: £7,719.98

So my target for the end of the year. My final payment on my car is due in October and I will be paying this off in full. The Very account will be clear by November. The other debts using the snowallball method will be clear July 2017 but I will be aiming to clear all my debts as soon as possible. I need to focus and be accountable.

    Thank you! :)
  • Hello
I haven't posted for ages and no matter what I do I can't seem to get new posts on this thread to come through to my phone which is a shame because last year other people's posts really motivated me so please help if anyone technical can. I set it for instant??
Any way I paid £451 off today which is big for me. One card will be paid by June. The other will be paid by October then if on target I have 4k left to pay. :rotfl:
