Well just had 80 quids worth of expenses go in the bank and so I decided to clear the Next card - it's not the highest rate of interest but I need that wee boost of getting rid of one of them.

Can I just say without this thread there is no way I would be this focused on getting rid of my debt. I would think about it but not really tackle it. Seeing how the payments change the total and the percentages makes SO much difference. And seeing you all post about how you're doing - it's inspiring. 20% is in sight, I can't wait! Thanks to everyone who is taking part and posting. :T

  • Oh my goodness guys you're doing brilliantly! :D

I've recently signed to Quidco to see if I can get a bit of cashback to chuck at the debt (I'm still not entirely au fait with how it works but we'll see)

Just 'opted in' for their 72hr £10 cashback deal for newbies (spend at least £10, get £10 cashback), bought a mascara from House of Fraser (as I didn't get it for Xmas) so should get the £10 + 5% cashback and possibly even a bit extra for going through PayPal. Also got a cardi from Fat Face which has a 3% cashback but may not qualify as I used a £10 voucher. So looking to start February with a LOT of new spending/saving habits to chip this debt away!!

The recent flurry from you lot is keeping me super motivated - I may be selling anything that isn't tied down on eBay very soon! Teehee!

  • Ooh I love Quidc0! If you can then download the toolbar/add on thing - it pops up when you go on sites that offer cashback so you don't need to remember to check quidc0 first before you go to every site on the web! I've had nearly £800 from them (but over years!) and currently got £126.81 tracked :D Hurry up and confirm!!
