#47 here. I did a proper check on my finances earlier in the month and found it was worse than I thought. I OWED £11,096.88, not the 10k I had estimated. Tried to get my act together and have worked hard to make a start and chip away at it. I think I will update monthly as I am now keeping a list of what I spend and pay off each month.
So my TOTAL is ; £1,199.38/£11,096.88🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11 £11,300/£11300
Target met.

108 here.
Been rather lax about updating recently, but I have still been making payments.
There's a high probability I've forgotten to add in a couple of payments to my calculation, but with the payments I 100% know I've made I'm now at £2556.10/£9139.48.

Hi everyone! Hope you've all been good for January

We've been very frugal this month - I got so much into the mind-frame that I had to make my money last to the end of January, and so I ended up with loads left!
Overall we're doing well - my OH and I are very keen to get on the property ladder, and we're determined that this year we need to get our finances in line. Two weeks ago, OH boldly announced he would save a grand a month, until I pointed out that after rent, bills, fuel etc., he doesn't have that much left. Poor dear...
However, I suggested we try to live on just one income for 6 months - we earn about the same, so it's the same as living on half our incomes. It will leave money really quite tight, so I'm thinking I'll stagger it - every third month I'll give myself an extra £100-£150 so I can get any part-essentials (like work clothes or perfume).
My OH's aunt and uncle also kindly offered us a loan to help out, but we agreed we need to sort out our finances first - we have to make sure buying a house won't add any debt (beyond a mortgage obviously), so all the more motive!
Anyway, between January frugality and pay day this week, I have managed to pay:
#001 £950/3500 = 25.68%
I kept back about £150 in case of emergency, but hopefully I can get to the end of the month without spending any of it.
Good luck with February! And Happy Pay Day :j0 -
Good news to finish off the month! SWMBO has been desperate to get out of her current job, and today got an offer elsewhere and handed her notice in. Not only that, but it comes with a payrise too. Our finances don't overlap, but it's cheered both of us up regardless! :j0

haha I am back in the red on the credit card now.
Had to buy a new suit for a wedding in a few weeks. Jacket & trousers were £99, new tie £10, leather belt £13 and new shoes £79
Still haven't got a shirt yet as they didn't have the right fit for the shirt I wanted. That is going to be £28.
I also booked my fiancees birthday present in April. Overnight stay in a hotel in Stratford Upon Avon for £144
I did say to myself I would have a blow out month before starting savings hahaha
Don't you dare be back on the 2016 thread, I'll make you hand back your medal! :rotfl:0 -
Surprised there was less than a page of updates when I logged in - I was expecting the thread to explode with payday debt repayments! Here's mine anyway:
#057: £2446.50 / £8202 29.8%
Nearly a third of the way there
:D:D Probably not much more money to point at debts for this month now though
