I have just double checked bigbarn - we have 17 places to get fish/shellfish and the NFU (I can't see what the symbol is cos its buried under fish symbols). Thats it.

No dairy, no PYO, box schemes, anything like that.

If things are buried under fish symbols - did you spot the written list of all the places found that is underneath the picture almost off the bottom of the page?

I'm sure you did really, but I missed it entirely the first three times I went there. Duh!

    :)

Just gone and looked at Big Barn, typical, it doesn't recognise Northern Ireland postcodes or place names.

Try doing a google UK search on the order of :-

    "box scheme"+YourTownName

..including the quotes and see what you get. Substitute "farm shop" for box scheme too.

  • Thanks Squeaky! I have managed to find a farm shop not too far from me. Checking out their website and it looks pretty good. Might take a run out there this afternoon.

  • No problem!, I have also found a box scheme, which apparently is run just outside my village  never knew it existed, so I'm going to phone them to ask if it is still up and running.
