Anyone know of anyone near to Slough?? (Berkshire)

    I've googled, looked, hunted and I can't find no-one no-where...

Cole and Able do my area, but I'm not completely sure I want to use them after reading a few comments about them in OS.

I've just found a site called The Organic Delivery Company and if you click on "Where to Shop" on the menu on the left you can select your area to find organic suppliers local to you.

    Hope that helps :)

Edit: I've also found a list of local producers in West Berks that may be of help to you too!

Thanks, but the Organic company don't deliver near me, and I'm in East Berks - but there was one on the list who was near to me - but they are in the dark ages and are only contactable by phone - I'll call them Monday!
  • Sorry, my geography isn't too hot in that part of the country :o

If I find anything else I'll let you know :)

There's quite a comprehensive list of suppliers, both mail order and local deliveries, on this site, so it might be worth a look!

I'm still dreaming of a box scheme that will deliver to my area on a Saturday without charging £28 for the privilege!!! Deliveries at work aren't possible and there's no-one at home during the week to take delivery of a box so there's not a lot of choice. It's not fair :-( Wonder when one of the producers will cotton on to the fact that there's a lot of cash rich (ok, not me!), time poor young professionals who would happily place a regular order if it arrived in the evening or the weekend. It seems like an untapped market to me.........
  • Nabowla - have you got anywhere safe and dry for them to leave a delivery at home, a shed, garage or porch, or even with a neighbour? I've noticed that most of the local suppliers are quite happy to do this for you, knowing most people are at work when they deliver, rather than wait until a Saturday. That's an extortionate fee to charge for delivery, even if it is a Saturday!!!

Any one used this company? I have been thinking about getting organic veg delivered for ages and this company is in my area.

this company was given a rave report in my local paper.. The girl who runs it for my area came across very well and if i could justify having such a large order for me and my daughter would jump at it..

Thanks for the reply. I love the fact that on this site you get such quick responses.

Think I will definitely give this company a try. Myself and OH are vegetarian so in my mind it is worth paying more for more tasty veg.
