Dingdong, lovely to hear from you! So glad your 20 week scan went well and you're starting to feel some movement. And welcome to Team Yellow!! :j
twinklie, your sickness still sounds horrendous! Surely there's no way you can start back, even if it is a phased return? Can you get your sick note extended?
Claire, we were told to look away if we didn't want to know the sex whilst they were doing measurements of pelvis, etc, so there was no peeping for us. I'm glad in a way, otherwise I would have been exactly the same and unable to resist looking!!

Great to hear from you Dingdong, I remember us getting our BFPs really close together. Scary how quickly you move up the lists isn't it! Nice to have another member of team yellow too
I know what you mean about the scans - the 20 weeks one is amost so detailed you can't quite work out what you're looking at, whereas our 12 week one was just a nice side on profile.
So sorry to hear you're still sick Twinklie, how many weeks are you now? I remember my nausea easing almost to the point of normality at 16 weeks, so hopefully yours is just in its dramatic death throws. As Mrs_I as has said though, could you look into getting your sick note extended?
AFM, I had the first "oh you've suddenly popped!" comment today. It's nice in a way because I know I've not really gained weight anywhere other than boobs and belly so it's quite obviously pregnancy, but part of me is panicking thinking at 21+3 it would be nice if people still couldn't tell! I was a 6/8 on top pre-preggo and MW said the baby is quite far forward so I can console myself with that I guess. It is quite nice to getting the congratulations thoughDS - 08/15

Yes I could get a sick note no problem. But I'm a teacher and year 11 are so near to their exams which unfortunately won't wait. My science classes would be ok, but I'm the only psychology teacher in school!! It's a self imposed pressure to get back. I will try and if I can't cope I cant. Will just have to see what happens.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Sent home from work today due to major back pain. But on the plus side, at least I am moaning about back pain now and not sickness! The tablets seem to have the sickness under control and I can now mainly manage on one tablet a day and not three, so it does seem to be improving alot.
Getting married on friday and tried the wedding dress on again yesterday. As long as I don't need to move or breathe it is all fine!
I think we are hoping to stay team yellow, but I do wonder if I will get over-excited at the 20 week scan and change my mind!
Hope everyone else is doing ok0 -
Page 5, ladies?! My my, we are a quiet bunch.
twinklie, how are you doing? How did going back to work go? Hope you're feeling better than you were. As a former teacher I vividly remember the time off guilt... It took me a long time to shift the mind-set and to put myself/little one first.
katy, how about you? Has the back pain settled? And most importantly - CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding!! How was your wedding day? I hope you were able to breathe a bit in your dress.
AFM, I'm still taking it day by day, relishing every kick, punch and roll as they happen. I'm also trying to get things sorted in the house, a far bigger/troublesome job than you'd imagine due to the on-going home improvements, so I think nesting may have kicked in rather early...
How is everyone else doing?

Miss I - we have been quiet, I've no excuses for being AWOL. I just tend to forget when it falls off the front page!
I had my twenty week scan today (19+5) and everything is good and measuring bang on dates. Took a while to get a good view of the heart as the cheeky foetus was lying on its front and making life difficult. The sonographer had to have me move into all kinds of odd positions to get some movement. Needless to say as soon as that was done and it was photo time, the baby was posing away and shifted right over. Nearly gave us a groin shot on the way over but I didn't get a good enough look (thankfully) so I'm still team yellow!
Hope everyone else is feeling ok, it's a tough old slog this pregnancy buisness.0 -
Aww thanks for thinking of me Miss_I. I'm ok. Spent most of the weekend in bed completely done in. Weds and Thurs went really well but by Friday I felt a awful. I'm ok after today but Wednesday is my killer day so we shall see.
Still very sick but bump seems to have appeared overnight. So I hope that's a good sign.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

pm04gn, I tend to forget once it's disappeared off the front page too - and I also have no excuse for being AWOL! So glad all went well at your 20 week scan and how lucky that you just missed "the money shot" when the rolled over!
twinklie, no worries, I remember the slog at school all too well and the pressures they put on you (not to mention the pressures you put on yourself)! My bump suddenly appeared overnight too, so certainly sounds like a good sign to me. Really hope your sickness eases soon though. Is there anything your Headteacher/Head of Department could do to help ease your workload a bit, take the pressure off a bit??
