I'm 14 weeks and have just started to put weight on after losing 2kg in the first trimester. Only 1-2lbs so far. I assume that at some point soon the weight gain is going to pick up at speed so I'm not too worried.
Are you eating normally or still feeling a bit sicky?
That makes me feel a bit better. The sickness is finally beginning to wear off so I'm trying to eat more now. I am eating more healthily though, so perhaps that's why also. Just worried as I thought I'd be huge by now :o

At 15 weeks I had only gained about 3 or 4lbs but now at 23 weeks am at about 11/12 lbs, has been a lot quicker the last few weeks.
  • Hi everyone,

I wonder if I can join you? I was on the TTC thread a while ago and how time has flown! I'm now 22+5, due on 16th June and feeling lots of movement from baby :) I don't know the sex of the baby, we are having a surprise.

I've been keeping well during my pregnancy, although have lost both of my grandparents (gran at 10 weeks and my grandad just last week at 21 weeks). So although I've been physically well, it has been tough at times.

Since grandad died, I've been off work, and returning tomorrow, only 13 weeks left til mat leave starts, I can't wait.

I hope everyone is doing well, I look forward to hearing your updates and moving into the third trimester with you all,

    Weesmiler xx

  • Hi Weesmiler. Sorry to hear about your grandparents but glad you are keeping well.

I'm 24 weeks now so guess that I should move over to the final thread soon. Exciting and scary at the same time. We might be a bit crazy but looks like we are going to buy a house and complete sale before baby arrives. Offer has been accepted so we just need mortgage to go smoothly and we will be all set. Going to be an interesting couple of months!

Thanks. It looks like you'll have a busy couple of months! I hope everything goes smoothly with mortgage etc, it can be so stressful. We moved house last year and I never want to do it again!! At least you have a great excuse for not doing any heavy lifting ;)

Regarding weight gain posts... I'm 22+5 and have gained 7lbs. At 18 weeks, I had only gained 1 or 2 lbs. I asked midwife if that was ok and she said not to worry, that most weight would go on in the second half, and it has started going up a bit now. As long as you are keeping well enough I wouldn't worry, everyone grows at their own pace :)

  • third from the top?! I knew I was 24+3 but its gone so fast!!!

I will probably move over soon but hope you don't mind if I pop in from time to time?

I've been weepy recently, for instance the other evening my hubby wanted to take me for a meal, I was tired after a hard week at work and explained that tonight I'd really rather stay in. He said it was important we spent quality time together and I felt immense pressure and guilt and just started crying! Poor DH!!!

Got a mw apt this morning and DD (7) will be with us, which will be nice and DH has questions he'd like to ask regarding 4d scans as we have one booked and since booking he has read that they're not very safe!

How are you all doing? Sending hugs to those who need them xxx

    Hi all,

Have moved myself, Krusty and Ashtray to graduates list. Hope that's ok. If someone could keep the lists up to date now that would be great.

24 week appointment today, all looking good and heard heartbeat again. She measured me but didn't write it down.

See you all on the next thread!
