What did you go for Claire?
22 weeks for me today. Got all the baby clothes out of the loft so sorted into sizes. Will prob wait till weather is better to wash.
Bump is definitely getting bigger and can't stop eating!0 -
It's gone very quiet on here! How are we all doing?
Claire, I am so envious of you getting your pram already! Seems daft not to if it was on offer and it's what you want. If it eases your embarrassment somewhat, a former friend of mine bought their pram at 6 weeks. I kid you not! They'd not had any scans, so they had no idea if they might have been expecting twins, nor did they measure it to see if it fitted in the car (it didn't, so they bought a new car! *despairs*). So do you now feel better?
As for me, I'm still taking each day as it comes and am 15 weeks today! I visited my old job yesterday and told my former work colleagues our news, who are absolutely delighted for us and very excited. While I loved keeping our news a secret, I am now thrilled I don't have to worry about being seen at the hospital for appointments, etc.
The most curious thing is that I keep having a twinge on my left hand side on and off all day. It's happened for the last few days. I wouldn't necessarily say it's particularly painful, but I certainly notice it when it happens! I am assuming a growth spurt or ligament pain? I don't remember this happening with my last pregnancy. Anyone else experiencing the occasional sharp pain/throb in the left hand side, almost where your ovary is?

Miss_i if it's not too painful then I'm sure is ok but speak to midwife if you are concerned.
Went to vbac class today which was quite helpful. Was good to know how they monitor you etc. consultant appointment next week but hopefully they will agree vbac is best thing. Seems they prefer you to have one unless there's a real medical reason not to.0 -
We got the Cosatto Giggle 3 in 1 Travel System in Oaker with a free car seat
It had some issues 2012-14 with the front wheel that was highly documented, but having researched it I feel assured it's sorted now. Plus it comes with a 4 year guarantee which might even stretch to the next LO (fingers crossed). It's so pretty! And most importantly easy to use. Still need to get the ISOFIX base (anyone say rip off?!) so I can leave that til much later and assure myself I'm not a crazy lady buying everything super early!
Glad your vbac class was helpful wendz - everything I seem to read regarding pregnancy after a previous c-section seems to say they recommend vbac unless there's good medical grounds not to
Mrs_I - About 2 weeks ago I had exactly what you're describing on my right side. It felt a bit like a pulled muscle or stitch when I stood up or sat down. It only lasted one day but freaked me right out! Everything I've read points to RLP, which I found a reassuring sign that baby is growingDS - 08/15

That certainly sounds like it, Claire! It's a relief to hear someone has experienced something similar. I had also put it down to RLP and baby growing. I am intending on mentioning it to my midwife at my 16 week appointment next week though like you suggest, wendz, just to be safe.
Also, having been browsing car seats the last few days - I completely agree with you re: the Isofix bases, Claire! Absolute rip off, it's madness!

Claire - well done you on getting a bargain. I saw the deal whilst shopping with my mum at the weekend but still feel a bit early to be buying. I've seen that deal before so hoping it will come round again before August. £400 including car seat and all the bits is a steal. I really like the star pattern, shame they've called the pattern hipstar. It irrationally annoys me. Silly hormones!
Still getting nausea and reflux at 12+6 so just holding on in there awaiting the bloom of the second trimester.0 -
Fingers crossed it goes for you pm04gn - I've had 2 days off through sickness this week and I'm 16 weeks on Saturday
Yeah £378 all in (exc. isofix), so pretty chuffed with it. We got scared incase no other deal came up before July (even though it's pretty likely!) Might just ask for the isofix off one of the sets of grandparents & then we won't feel quite so robbed.
Forgot to say - first day wearing maternity jeans today. I don't actually need them yet, my other trousers are holding up ok, BUT they are the comfiest trousers I've ever owned! It's like a secret all pregnant women must keep amongst themselves so the non-preggos don't buy all the amazing trousers! Also, read quite a few reviews saying definitely just get your normal size & this seems to be good advice. These are Topshop size 8 & are fairly roomy even around the non-elsaticated bit - if I don't whale out pre or post baby these are definitely going to be my turkey eating pants at xmas!DS - 08/15

Hope the sickness stops soon Claire and pm04gn.
Maternity clothes are so comfy, love wearing the jeans. I only wore under the bump last time but bought some over the bump in primark and so comfy.
I can't stop eating at the moment and putting on more weight. I know i would be at this stage anyway but might have to try and eat a bit more healthily!0 -
Evening everyone.
I'm fed up of feeling ridiculously tired and sick all of the timeI hope it stops at some point! The only time I don't feel sick is when I'm eating, so I seem to be eating more than normal and trying not to worry about eating too much for now. About to go to bed - can't seem to stay awake past 9pm.
I've not even looked at maternity clothes, though I'm definitely starting to show now; my work trousers are tighter and it's getting harder to hide! I haven't told everyone at work - just those in my immediate department - but eventually people will guess or just think I'm getting fatBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I've been in maternity clothes for a few weeks now but I'm now 23 weeks which nearly makes it time for me to move up to the next thread!
I bought a few bits in the Boots baby event. I'm the only person I know having a girl which has meant that all my friends who have had girls are offering me all their baby stuff. Getting really exciting now.
Had genetic counselling on Monday over DH's heart condition but I actually feel more relieved now I know all our options.0
