Eurgh I'm feeling horrible today, vomiting and feeling ill! Think its probably just a bug, going to pop to the pharmacy and see if they can give me anything to help with dehydration. Quite disappointed really as its the first time I've been actually sick in 21 weeks!MancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0

Sorry to hear you've been feeling rough Mancmama - I hope the pharmacist was able to help and you're feeling better. Xx
I had my 16 week appointment with the midwife today and heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was really reassuring to hear it.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Oh mouse how lovely - so pleased for you! Wow 16 weeks, time is going so fast.
Feeling much better now thanks, think it was just a 24 hour thing.
Realised today I have 13 weeks left at work - yikes!!!!!!
Hope everyone is feeling well xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -
Glad you're feeling better MancMama, that sounded horrible!!
Mouse 0 that is lovely you got to hear the heartbeat! I have my next midwife appointment on Monday and I'm hoping to get to hear it again. I'm assuming I'll get my Mat b1 at this appointment (22 weeks) as I need it before I can start organising my mat leave with work!?
My birthing class was good on Tuesday, everyone was lovely and although I did feel a bit daft doing all the breathing by the sounds of things it has really helped some people in previous pregnancies so I'll stick with it.0 -
That sounds good PP, I must look those classes up myself.
I haven't got my MATB1 either yet and won't get it until my 25 week appointment! I've told HR though and they were fine with that.MancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0 -
hi all!
Mancmama - mines the same, I originally thought I would get my matb1 at 20 week scan but midwife said it will be when she see's me at 24 weeks! I've given my boss my letter though stating my leave dates etc so at least the ball is rolling on that!
I hate to say it but I'm not enjoying pregnancy so far but I haven't told anyone as I dont want to look like a bad mom-to-be and also I dont want to seem ungrateful as I know some women would do anything to be in my position.
I know I'll probably enjoy being pregnant more when I feel her move a lot more but at the moment I just feel rubbish - I dont know if I'm eating enough of the right things, if I'm drinking enough water, I cant sleep properly, when I do sleep my hips ache from being on my side, and all I want to do today is go home with a big box of chocolate watch tv and cry into a tub of hagen daaz0 -
My boss keeps asking when I'm finishing up so she can sort out someone to backfill and I keep putting her off by saying I need to wait until I get the form, I'm just not sure when I want to finish up! I'd like as much time as possible at the other side but I'm so tired just now I can't help wonder what I'm going to be like in a few months time! I have three weeks holiday left but need to use about a week for various things before then so I can probably start two weeks earlier and use some annual leave. Thinking maybe finishing up on 2nd Dec, two weeks hol would mean my mat leave wouldn't start until 19th Dec...my due date is 1st Jan (changed from 31 Dec at my last scan!)
Is this enough time? OH thinks I should finish mid November but I really want more time after and I can only afford to take 9 months off, although I can make this up to 10 as I'll have my new annual leave entitlement and obv won't have used any!
Sorry this is a bit of a ramble!!0 -
Meant to also say newcook - I think everyone feels like that. I really wanted to enjoy being pregnant too but it's so exhausting! I think I've finally stopped beating myself up about doing everything right and now I just listen to my body...if I want to eat something, I eat it. If I stress too much about it being the right things I just can't see that being healthy. The first half was full of worry and stress so I'm now trying to enjoy the second half a bit more and just relax and give myself a break. I've definitely been a lot happier since I started doing this. And I'm enjoying eating whatever I want!!0

I'm so glad I dont feel alone in feeling like this! I'm normally such a happy, upbeat person so for me to feel down makes me feel even worse lol!
I haven't even told OH - every time he asks If I'm enjoying pregnancy I smile and nod and say its great. I can't wait to get home later and have a sob as I know I'll feel better after letting it all out but cant do that at work! luckily I only want to have a good sob every now and then - any more and I'd be straight to the docs worrying that I had pre-natal depression or something.
can't even cheer myself up with a large glass of wine and cheese, pate and crackers! ah well, just over 18 weeks to go!!!0 -
PP I'm finishing Dec 2nd and my EDD is 6h Jan so sounds good to me!
I agree ladies, I so want to be one of those "isn't is all wonderful" pregnant people but the fact is its exhausting - not that I am complaining at all I am so grateful - but I do long for next year when I can lie flat on my belly eating rare steak and slugging back gin (what a visual) xMancMama4 (35) TTC since Apr 15, MMC Dec 15, Our Rainbow Baby Charlie arrived Dec 16 :heart2:0
