Thanks everyone. It's a huge relief to have that scan done as now we know everything is developing normally (as far as they can tell anyway) and it's amazing how much you get to see.

Re the names... We had a handful of girls names we liked anyway so it didn't take long to narrow it down!

I'm so pleased your scans went well MancMama and Pink Petal. Fantastic news.

I named my daughter during labour si perhaps I'll leave it that late again. :rotfl:

I'm moving to the next thread now where I can talk about interesting things like getting my whopping cough vaccine and what exercises to do for the pelvis pain I'm getting (I think I've got PGP again which I was really hoping to avoid this time). Hopefully there will be fun things like nursery decoration ideas too. :D

See you all there soon. X

Thanks Kynthia and well done on graduating to the big thread! I have to admit I've been lurking on it for a while now, its so exciting to see people getting ready for mat leave and the birth.

Feeling full of the joys today and on a high from yesterday, hoping it lasts.

Where is everyone else up to? x

Only 14+4 today so a while until my scan still. Next appointment is on 24th with the midwife at 16 weeks.

Mouse wow you are almost at 15 weeks! How are you feeling? The 16 week appointment was a bore for me, she just checked my BP, took a urine sample and booked my 25 week appointment and sent me on my way.

Have you got the date for your 20 week scan? x

  • Hopefully see you on the big thread soon Kynthia! That reminded me that my midwife told me to book in for my whooping cough vaccine at my last appointment and I've not had a chance to do it yet. I'm seeing her again on 29th so better do it before then so I don't get into trouble!

Mouse - not too long til your next midwife appointment. At our 16 week app we got to hear the hearbeat with the doppler and that was lovely so hopefully you'll get that too - I think it varies dep on the hospital!

I'm back at work today after a week off and despite saying I wasn't going to tell everyone the result of the scan I've completely failed and told everyone I've spoken to we're having a girl! oops!
