Easyjet have emailed me to say that I can claim a refund.
I need to log in to the 'manage my booking' then enter all the API details for all passengers, they will then refund me accordingly.
Alternatively if I don't have the API details yet I can download a form, email it back and they will refund.

Not done it yet but seems pretty straightforward.

I have an outbound flight from the UK booked with Easyjet and an inbound flight from Greece back to the UK booked with Jet2 but presume as this is a one way from Greece I won't get an APD back on this leg?
    Lea
  • Contacted Norwegian Airlines, but told they arent sure if they are refunding!!!! This can't be right. VERY disappointed in their response.
  • we also contacted Norwegian and the upshot was that we had agreed the price when we booked so no refund!!
i also found an article on their website stating that APD refunds are only going to be made if you booked 5-11th December.
This can't be right, but what to do?
  • Has anybody heard anything about Aer Lingus refunding APD?

    ...we have £39 due.
  • I am due £142 but Asiana Airlines say they don't have a policy for APD refunds so therefore won't be issuing them. What can be done to make airlines like this do the right thing? The Treasury urged airlines to refund child's APD on already booked flights, but they can urge all they like - nothing will happen unless it is backed up by something.
  • I've just received a refund of £71 for a flight that my family and I are taking in July 2015 (booked in Oct 2014), my son will be 10 when we travel so I assume this is why I'm receiving the refund. However they've sent a coupon thing (called a Multi Purpose Document MPD )to the value of £71 that can only be used when booking future travel with Virgin Atlantic until January 2016, which I won't be doing, so I'm just going to lose the difference! Is this right? Can I not demand a cash/cheque refund?? Are they trying to have me over?
  • Customer services seem to know nothing about it. Put on hold and the reply was that they are awaiting instructions. I will try contacting again in a couple of weeks.
I did a dummy booking on their site and the APD for under 12s is no longer included in the price.
  • I brought my tickets through a third party. I am flying to Florida this year and the company say that I am not entitled to a refund. not sure which way to go now......any ideas?? thanks in advance
  • I too am trying to claim a refund through Norwegian. We booked on 4th December, Autumn Statement was 3rd December (I think) and they are saying can only claim a refund if booked between 5th-11th December. They only have to pay the tax when we depart, which is after 1st May so they won't have to pay it - hence, I would think it was irrelevant when we booked, we should be due a refund.
