You tried something new!! Good for you! I’m always afraid I’ll mess up when I try new stuff. What made you decide to try something new? I’d like to get motivated. Maybe you have some ideas you can share.
And today's award for the most unconvincing spam, goes to macky. Well done, macky. Next week, we'll try joined up writing and spelling our own names.0 -
OP, don't give up the fight, also please ignore the idiots on this thread who have nothing better to do than look for attention, there appear to be many.
Yes, you've been scammed. What nobody seems to have picked up on is that you were with a friend. If you stayed together all evening then surely he knows exactly what went on and what you did or didn't agree to? If you have his evidence then you must have a case worth pursuing, so go see a solicitor asap and get some real advice.Pants0 -

Do you really think the OP's friend was with him all night ? This is a lap dancing club the OP was in, i'm pretty sure the OP would have been alone at some stage of the proceedings0 -
i've been following this thread with interest, and i sympathise with the OP a lot.
ive never been to a strip club but i certainly have been the worse for the wear after a night out, and its there-but-for-the grace-of-god that my drunken state has not been taken advantage of by others in any kind of criminal way (well, as far as i can remember lol).
unfortunately, i dont have any spectacular advice to offer but given the amount of ludicrously rude replies that have appeared here recently i just wanted to lend some support and wish you all the best in getting your money back. its quite clear that you have been duped/scammed and clubs like this shouldnt be able to get away with it.0 -
he needs a bit of help here, rather than condemnation.
This thread is now almost a duplicate of the other strip club threads which have appeared on this forum, even down to people berating others for giving non-sympathetic responses.
Clearly a topic which encourages lots of responses, especially as the OP keeps returning. Burno has currently made 45 of the 145 posts in this thread!its quite clear that you have been duped
Regardless, do you really think the Bank should be liable for the monies allegedly "scammed" from the OP?0 -

no, i believe those responsible for the scam should be liable.0 -
no, i believe those responsible for the scam should be liable.
The strip club won't be refunding anything…and this thread will continue on for quite a bit yet.
Anyway, I'll take my leave again now..0 -

yes, i have read the thread thanks.
i guess some of us look at the bigger picture, and perhaps have a bit more compassion than others!0 -

That someone drunkenly carried a debit card into a strip joint and therefore spent a lot of money that he might otherwise might not have done?
We only have one side of the story (in almost fifty posts by the OP), but I doubt we will ever hear any non-subjective truth.
Personally, I don't believe a word of it anyway.0 -
What I'd really like is for everyone on here to donate €5 to my cause and help me recoup the money. Or at least that's what I think you're trying to insinuate.
Anyway, I don't care if you believe me or not, nor do I think me responding so frequently is in some way an indication that im trying to con you. I could argue that there is something equally strange about the number of times the doubters have posted and especially strange that someone bothered to count my posts but I won't.
I came here for constructive advice and I think ive got as much as I need: 1) confirmationthat there are ways and means of charging someone a different amount to what is showing on the machine, and 2) that I should challenge the banks initial rejection
Two more points: the girls were mostly english and I very much doubt that in a club where they can apparently charge 3k a dance they are being exploited, irrespective of what they pay the club to operate in there ie if they can get by charging £10 a dance then at 3k they must be rolling in it
2) I dont expect my bank to take the hit here. Ive tried speaking to the club with little success and the police have advised me to go through my bank to sort it. If they dont want to do anymore than a 2 second review and decline then that's rheir problem if I successfully challenge it and get my money back. Im 99% confident that a letter from the bank or police pointing out all the potential inconsustencies with this case would result in the club refunding the money but I doubt the bank will want to go to those lengths0
