Strip club scam

Hey guys, I walked drunk into strip club, flashed the £300 cash I'd stuffed in my wallet and then after the girls offered to do things in exchange for more money and I authorised the transactions with my PIN, I got charged more money. This is outrageous! I'm so angry at everyone else but not myself because I'm not to blame for decisions I make or actions I take.0

The "harsh" responses are because it's well known that frequenting such establishments is, at best, very expensive and, at worst, even more expensive.[/QUOTE]
My friend who was in there for the same time as me spent, had dances at the same time as me spent £100 plus his drinks the whole night - so not exactly "very expensive" in the grand scheme of things0 -

Why not try and get some reimbursement from him as well as the Bank?:D0 -

What about if you staggered drunk in to KFC on the way home from the pub? Happens all the time, and they expect it. What if they charged £2k for a Zinger meal? (admittedly they are nice)

Not quite the same thing, but if a girl was incredibly drunk and didnt know what she was doing, and a bloke took advantage, she could claim rape and the bloke would be judged at fault, a la ched evans or whatever the chumps name is.
In principle it's exactly the same thing but clearly people on here wouldn't agree as it's your own fault for getting blind drunk and therefore you should accept responsibility for everything that happens after!
Still think you're an idiot taking your credit card though.
But yes, I am stupid for using it/not checking the machine or whatever... and I don't think ive tried to deny that at any point so far have I?0 -

This is exactly why the Tesco analogy doesn't work at all. What happened to the OP is exactly what always happens when you do what he did.
Utter rubbish. No it isn't. Strip clubs may be expensive, and exploitative (of either workers or clientele - argument for elsewhere), but to suggest scamming cards for thousands of pounds is common place is outrageous. Ludicrous.0 -
Beat me to it.
I didn't, he paid for his own. The point I was making is that one would reasonably expect the amounts charged to be roughly the same... I also had cash on me and given that the only places ive ever been to charge £10/20 etc that would explain where my cash went
Also, I definitely remember thinking I was paying for a drink on my card at the bar (and my friends story verifies this) yet apparently I must have got them for free... which I suppose is quite possible when you're spending that sort of money but also slightly odd if the dance fee goes straight to the club i.e. where do they make their money from and why would they pay for drinks out of their own pockets?0
