Chip and PIN transactions, the bank aren't going to look into anything. I've dealt with dozens of cases just like this, the bank aren't going to help. If there are any transactions that aren't chip and PIN you might stand a chance.

Otherwise, use it as a lesson learned. Treat your card as if it's cash, a card gives access to the whole of your balance. Same as if you had cash in your pocket.

but what are you suspicious of Peaceful? what does anyone stand to gain by creating a story like this?
and i don't accept that meer. i don't frequent strip clubs, but if i was scammed i would take action against the fraudsters/thieves. and the doormen getting involved, well...:A

A lot of responses from posters keen to "help", arguments about those who are unsympathetic etc etc etc.

The thread is going around in circles and the OP is encouraging this by "drip feeding" information. The other threads are of a similar format..

The "entertainment" value of pulling the wool?

    I don't know, I didn't create these threads…

Even this conversation is keeping the thread going long past the point where the OP would reasonably have received adequate advice on what to do if the circumstances were true.

Neither do I, but I can spot duplicate threads a mile off.

If you notice, I "outed" this thread at post #2 but it hasn't stopped 165 subsequent posts though!

The thread will eventually wind to a close, I'll leave you to it...

If you're convinced this thread is a scam, why don't you just leave it alone? Your input really isn't helping. The rest of us don't care. If you've got nothing useful to say......
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

    I have done exactly that.

I return only infrequently to see that it continues unabated in exactly the manner of the other threads…

I never said the thread was in any way a "scam" by the way. It's bogus.

But the whole point of the thread (supposedly) is that the OP wants his Bank to refund the money "lost" despite having authorised the payments by chip and PIN
Payments were authorised, but not "the" payments. Remember we're dealing here with a club that is already known to be engaged in criminal activity. That's of particular interest in determining what happened when a cardholder not known to have committed crimes is disputing what was really authorised with a known criminal merchant who asserted that third party transactions they weren't even authorised to be taking were involved.

It's unlikely that the bank is going to agree but after the bank declines the FOS is a lot more likely to agree.
