  • If you don't want a change of underwear I would steer clear of insurance unless you are adding yourself, your uncle and several well known vicars onto the policy. How adding people makes it cheaper is beyond me but... indeed to car and all related car stuffs these days.

I cannot... I am not joking... CANNOT drive a manual. I was in a very nasty accident when I was 6 which left me with some serious hang ups. It took many many years to get into a car without panicky sickness. And the one thing that absolutely does not leave me is taking my hands off the steering wheel whilst at any kind of speed.. aka above 10 mph. Lost track of the number of times I have managed to get to third gear and promptly taken hands off wheel, feet off pedals and curled up with my hands over my eyes and ears. I went for an automatic lesson.. just to see. In my first lesson I was driving dual carriageways at the speed limit; one way systems in busy town on a Saturday and all sorts. LOVED it. So confident on my second lesson he made me do the worst test route :) again was brilliant. Then I moved house 250 miles away and the PRICES here... I cannot afford more than one lesson a month which won't help me so I have given up.. Lol. It was £23 a lesson in Nottingham. xx

  • I haven't looked yet Lilty.

NSD today brings me up to 12, I'm not going to make my target of 18 as I have Mr T coming on Tuesday.

I used Mr T vouchers for the cinema this week, me and OH went to see Jupiter Ascending, it was alright, made all the better by being free except for nibbles :D

I went out for lunch on Friday with a couple of work colleagues, also courtesy of Mr T, we all had vouchers and swapped them to use at Prezzo, just had to pay for our drinks :D

Only thing with lunch on Friday was that it's in town, which I don't tend to go to very often, always visit the fabric shop when I go. Bought a few bits including some fabulous chiffon, now need to work out what I'm going to make with it. Got my aunt's 50th to go to in April so aiming to make something to wear to that :)

Got my sewing machine out for the first time this year, I haven't made anything since I finished some make-up pouches for Christmas pressies.

I started out with the peg bag, simple easy project to start with I thought, err nope! Had to undo it twice, got to my third time to undo it and I've put it to one side for now! Our of practice I think :o

I bought some towelling fabric to make the bandana bibs which I've washed to get rid of the fluffy bits, got to wait for it to dry but I've cut the other fabric ready. I haven't quite decided on what kind of bag I want to make yet but want to try and make a purse to match. So no finished projects to show yet.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

    Love to all xxx

  • You are so busy it is mad!! I wish I was creative in the slightest! The best they get out of me is biscuit present tags and homemade christmas cards :rotfl:

Bless on the peg bag... mine was a t shirt sewn onto a coat hanger with the bottom folded and stitched up ;) xx

Ok MSE things, had another absolute mare with my car, it's been off the road for a week now :( OH has said he'll pay for it to get fixed, it's the alternator this time, already used my car fund to put a new battery on hoping that was the problem! I have such bad luck with cars

I've been a bit poorly this week too, started off with a head ache and feeling sick, been in bed after tea nearly all week, ended up with a chest infection :(

EF is stagnant at £53.23 :o but Christmas is £97 growing slowly and surely :A pay day this Tuesday so I'll see what cash I can shuffle around and pay towards the crappy CC.

Hope everyone is doing well, I'm just off to check up on you all.

    Much love, Kelly x

I would have to measure my doggie, I'm lead to believe he's a Jack Russell cross :)

And yes, started my emergency steroids, have to contact my doc now to let them know.

Loving those fabrics.... I have an urge now to run away from work and lok myself in the house with my sewing machine. I got an overlocker for xmas and still haven't managed to find time to use it. I really must get it out and have a play soon.... my first mission is to make some reusable baby wipes. Dude keeps running off with his face wipes and I hate buying packs of baby wipes!!
