Sorry I've not been around to talk "operation de-freeze"
for a while! I've been going at it since the end of September/October & it's gone amazingly well...our chest freezer in the garage only has 1 loaf of bread & some spinach in it! :T It makes me smile as this freezer was absolutely jammed full of leftovers. The upright freezer in the garage is also now totally empty! We defrosted it, turned it off & are now using it as a secure (just in case the dreaded mouse ever returns to the garage) additional pantry.
Large American style fridge and freezer in the kitchen are both full...but that includes the joints for family meals before and after xmas.
Well done everyone! Let's hope the food sales are great come January!0 -
Today I have taken out a bag of mince pies, a packet of cranberries and some turkey mince, mince pies as the boys are moaning there is nothing to eat, made the cranberries into jam, and am going to make turkey burgers for dinner tomorrow. I will be putting in a lone chicken Kiev later as DH is away tonight.0

2 x pain aux raisins, 1X pizza out of the freezer, plus some roasted strawberries and runner beans. Nothing in but it doesn't really look like much has come out!0

1 large joint of pork, and a packet of paninis out, grocery delivery coming this afternoon, so need space for frozen croissants and pains au chocolat to go in. Pork will be cooked as pulled pork on Sunday, paninis for lunch today. Might take some frozen oven chips out if need more room.
