I am hoping to be a better reduced shopper next year with more fish and much less meat. Taken from the freezer today: 2 x tea cakes for breakfast tomorrow, some cheese for lunches tomorrow.0

Please don't feed bread to ducks, it's not good for them.0 -
For breadcrumbs you can make stuffing, or add it to meatballs/meatloaf, or chop it up as croutons and oven-bake it with other ingredients into what they call a Panzanella,0

I've just had a sort out of my freezer and found a gammon joint. The use by date was June and it says on pack if frozen it should be used within one month. Obviously its way past that! Do you think it will be ok to use?
Ps. I did post this on another freezer thread this morning but haven't had a reply so trying again here!£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -
I'm trying to empty out my freezer too. For lunch I had a container of something I didn't recognise when I took it out of the freezer. Thankfully it was savoury, and also rather tasty chicken and mushroom casserole.
Hoping to be able to do a big meat shop either this friday or next, which will do us till the end of January, but need to make sure there is space for a loaf of bread in there too. Don't normally freeze bread as we go through it quite quickly, but need to over ChristmasZebras rock0 -

It will be fine.0 -
Me and my husband will be. Some of the casseroles and unmarked bags (my own foolish mistake) we have no idea what they are or when they're from...it should be interesting!
Our biggest problem is that we freeze bread and I won't eat the crusts (not very MSE) so we have plenty of frozen bread crusts but no idea how to use them!:(
Yep I know this problem, finished up with two lamb steaks and one beef yesterday cos of no labels!
