MC casino rocks! Spent more time in it than others..
Like the casino cos we had some great wins and tables seemed quite chilled :)
We had spa suite which was awesome, right near elevator too....
Prefer Luxor though as we like the private pool :D

We got 2 nights comp'd in MC in June..... hoping to get spa suite again!
  • I've booked my trip for August this year, I haven't been in Vegas for a couple of years so I'm really excited!

Only difference is this time I'm going on my own! I've booked the Westgate, but keeping an eye out for cheaper deals on the strip. Ideally I want somewhere with other young folk who want to party and a good pool.

    !

Explain please stuie? Or do you mean booking a cabana?

Just booked three nights as part of our June trip - will be adding a myvegas night before moving for last three nights.

Isn't this covered in the sticky on page 1 ? I'm sure it used to be.

I did have a look at the stickies but I couldn't see anything .

If there is a sticky there then I apologise .

I've used the U.S. groupon before by inputting my zip code as 89109 with no issues but it no longer seems to be working

if it didn't expire before we were going again, we would absolutely be interested. Maybe they will post another one closer to our next trip...thanks for alerting me to the possibility so I can stalk. :)

As for Groupon, they are the one company the PO CC always blocks for us...every time I buy a Groupon I say to my hubby 'well, we can expect the PO to call us in the next 12 hours'...and sure enough, every time.

with regard to MC, i stay there now over ballys. I never take a room less than the monaco suite and always request close to the elevators and its always been quiet.

We were Monaco Suite, first room from the elevators and were worried if it would be noisy with people coming and going. I think the room is big enough that you're far enough from that most of the time, that wasn't a problem...if it weren't for the seemingly paper thin connecting door and screeching teenage girls, we would have been quite happy with our experience, and like you would choose over Bally's (I think - though we quite like that corner).

  • I'm flying out on the 27th, so excited. Couple of questions for the Vegas lovers on here please...

    1. Would I get a better exchange rate in Vegas for changing my £ in $?

    2. I'm staying at the Stratosphere which isn't the best but I'm considering booking Mandalay Bay for the last day we are there for the pool and bit of luxury :)

Is anybody aware of any coupons to use to bring down the cost of a night there and could I possibly check out a night early of the Strat and maybe get a refund on the day's resort fees?

I've paid already and booked the holiday through Expedia, flight+hotel deal for 2 people. Just need to pay resort fees when we get there.

    Thanks!

    Luxor Pools:
You get the normal pools which are good and so on....
But you get the private pool which is long, has the egyption status along side it with water spouting out of them, also has a small Jacuzzi :):)
That's the private pool, as it costs $5 to use the normal sunbeds and the pool, or $25 for the comfy hangover loungers, and no idea about the beds, cabanas and villa's! :D:D
The comfy loungers also come with a bucket of ice and some waters :)
