The same web pages had different answers against the same holiday. It really was a joke. In the end they did put out a release to the stores clarifying that they were included till the end of March.
That must have been so frustrating! I still don't feel adult enough to be booking my own holidays, so I like having everything written down as clearly as possible by the travel agent/website otherwise I'd be fretting over unclear answers
Will have a look at MyKindaTravel, thanks BobbyWe just tend to stick with TC as my OH works closely with them and can get fairly decent discounts on the packages. Still worth a look to see if things come up cheaper. Might try the Birthday mention too, always worth a shot (going the week after my birthday for my 25th so fingers crossed) If not, sure the resort fee is something we'll win back

Best you work on the basis that no UK agent includes the Resort Fee...
The likes of Lowcostusa, quickrooms, and the bigger boys like BA Holidays and Virgin, would sometimes quote with or without Resort Fee...
Now they all say Resort Fee excluded......
Which makes me think the x2 bed agents in the US are no longer collecting for the MGM group......
Oh well, time to start comparing UK with US site costs, etc...
Getting R Fee's comped, will need some good spend in the hotel your in, or just find a good excuse to complain about something
We had 3 nights in the Aria last year through myVegas, and they hit me daily with the Resort Fee!! So on checkout day, I made a fuss, and got it all refunded!0 -

No worries.
another idea maybe is prehaps trying is maybe trying to play the travel agents against each other sorta thing, e.g if you got a quote for say £1000 say to another travel agent so and so(insert name) can do the holiday for say £900 can you match it sorta thing. But you say you get a good deal anyhow but theres always a better deal that can be done sometimes(fingers crossed)
as stuie34guy has said they can be some comps to be done thats if you and your partner(or freind, mom-dad whomever) gamble alot. how much i wonder, i ve read it takes like a few 1000 though(not 100% sure though)
I would also maybe advice if you have not done so, is read a few of the tips on the first page too, as there is some making tips there in regards coupens(i know i know im coning over tight but hey anything to save a bit of money, but if you can get 2-3 buffets for example free(abeit buy one get one free) a wee saving there.
On a side note im unsure if this is every hotel but when my brother and i stayed at the mgm grand last year we were asked to put down a $200 for some reason(via my debit card) so be sure to have some money in your credit card/debit card.0 -
It may be of interest to some to know that the direct GLA flight to vegas will be in a brand new wide bodied A330 from May 1st.
The route is also agreed for three years.
Not sure if any of that is common knowledge or not or whether it's been covered on here.0 -
flightinfo - apparently the next set of dates will be on in May. That's what people are saying on the facebook groups, and it sounds like they've checked with myvegas.
For rooms you can redeem and book as long as the dates are on the calendar.
For buffets, you have to be within 90 days of when you plan to eat at the buffet.
Hope that makes sense.
I did have a panic when I read about 1 reward, I was thinking it was only one reward instead of 3. Was really glad when I realised it was hotels only!! We've booked 3 nights between 2 of us, so I guess we wouldn't have been able to do that under the new rules.
We missed out on Mandalay Bay 2 dinner buffets when it disappeared. We have one more redemption but can't decide what to do. Slightly tempted by the Aria Bottomless Beverage pass, shame it's only one though. We'd then just pay for the other. Seems like a crappy redemption though at 3,500 points and only worth $12.99 but we're only on the strip for 5 nights and we have a LVA (to be used for 2 trips) so I think we have tons of buffet options.
Thanks very much Lesley74. Not sure I'm brave enough to hold out till then as need a room for 4 so obviously can't go for King room which I've noticed some of the offers are for. Will probably go for buffets or perhaps one buffet and a show - depends how many points I manage to get. We're 2 adults/2 teenagers so no point in going for the beverage option as wouldn't make use of it.0 -
We used this company when we wanted a helicopter ride. Picked up from our hotel to the airfield. Then giving a brief before being called to your pilot. I think when we went the company had 6 helicopters in total going at the same time.
Helicopter takes six people in total. If you are in a group of 4 you will be most likely in the back of the helicopter unless you pay extra for the front. We were lucky to be just us two and team up with a group of four so we got to sit in the front without the extra cost. Of course it also depends on everyone's weight to balance the helicopter.
We had a total of about 30 minutes in the canyon to enjoy the surrounding and have our breakfast. Our pilot was informative and good fun. Took us a different route back which was nice.
It is expensive but well worth the money. I too didn't want to waste time on a bus so this was ideal. By the time we got back it was brunch time and more time to explore Las Vegas.
I'm glad to know that it's a good company! I found a good deal with them in the end for $219 each for a helicopter tour, so I put it to the rest of the group and they were up for it, only disadvantage is it doesn't include the half an hour stop but still really looking forward to it! The stop included food and with two veggies, it probably wasn't worth it for the extra $150 each!0 -
I have purchased some tickets for the cirque du soleil Love show, when they came through, it says 'LET included. Additional fees
Apply' I can't find what the fees are, does anyone know? I presumed it was like a UK show where you just print your tickets and turn up having paid??0 -
With this company you can if you pay them an additional $50 each up front which we didn't
We went with Papillion, and it was strictly balancing the load.
It must be quite a challenge flying one of those things with a wonky load, the things some companies will do for a few extra bucksThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
I flew Scenic Airlines to Tusayan. They used me as ballast at the back.illegitimi non carborundum0

I just looked at our Carrot Top (also at an MGM property) and they say the same thing - I don't think you will have to pay anything more (we didn't, never have with any show tickets in Vegas or elsewhere).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
