Excerpt from my TR notes for yesterday:

    Saturday 4th
Temperatures back up to late 20s today.
Woke up feeling a bit run down, so once dressed we headed to the Miracle Mile shops to Jamba Juice (pretty much our go to place now!) and Earl of sandwich for lunch. Crossed over the strip with a view to head down to the Mandalay Bay via Excalibur and The Luxor.
We didn't get further than the Excalibur in the end. We are suckers for the 25c roulette machines, which don't seem to exist in the MGM so hubby made $20 and I lost a few $ then the plan was to go and spend a few $ on my new favourite machine Hot Red/Cool Blue quick win machines. While I spun another machine came free and hubby started spinning. It got to the mini game and it spun 10 x quick win symbols winning $7,540ish. Very surreal moment. Had to call an attendant, and luckily passports were in my bag rather than in the safe today. The woman who had been feeding $$$ into the machine before us came back and looked disgruntled. Her hubby looked even more p*ed off. After a very long wait and several signed declarations later hubs had the money counted out into his hand in the middle of the casino floor. It's a big pile of cash! We went straight back to The Signature via Starbucks for a celebratory frappuchino to stash the cash in the safe. Holiday now paid for.
Went to see Jeff Dunham last night, hubby's only show choice of the trio and very funny.

That is amazing - I play those machines...how very exciting for you both! Does he remember if he got the 'quick hit fever' feature/mini game? He would have gotten either 2x, 3x, locking wilds or quick hit fever...given the outcome, I'm assuming he got the final one. So awesome.

We saw a woman getting a payout on a Quick Hits machine at Bally's - the ones with the platinum quick hits, that's what she won - $13.5k...that was cool to see shortly after it happened...this is much better.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

It must've been the quick hit fever one, I can't remember for sure I'll make a note next time I get the mini game one on. I remember hubby grumbled at me when I didn't pick the 3xs which was what he wanted, but I'd said I thought those symbols were better. One of the final spins produced at least 10 x quick hit symbols on the spin. The 9x listed above the machine was showing around $5.5kish, we didn't realise you could get more :-)

These machines were already my favourite as I like a mini game, they are definitely my go to machine now!

Does anyone know how the mlife points are calculated, should I have got points for that win, or is it calculated on spend?

Awesome! I love those machines, and they can be fun but they can be evil. I have only got Quick Hit Fever once and you're right, it is the best one...how exciting!

I played a similar one at Cosmo, but it was a Black Gold Wild machine, and $3 spin...at one point I was pretty sure it was broken. Nothing anywhere near like your hubby's win, but $20 in and $150+ out a few times. It's the one on the far right of the bank near the East Tower elevators, facing the entrance to the elevators, player's back to the Strip/entrance. Just in case it is a 'hot' machine since you guys have the luck! I realise it's utter rubbish to suggest a machine is hot...but still.

Mlife points are calculated on coin in.

I know, you do wonder what goes through folk's mind when they do things like this. Obviously quite disturbed, poor soul (and poor folk out for lunch too!).

Well we think the buffets quite good, no accounting for taste
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Stoneman, reports are saying he did it because they removed his free buffet for life privileges. He won that a few years ago, then M Resort took it off him because he harassed a staff member.

The LVRJ is full of stuff about him. He sent them a package of information the day before he did it.

    A very sick man.
