  • As of today TC does NOT include resort fees. I looked in to booking with them about a month or so ago, and was informed of the change instore.

Thanks Seldom and Bobby :) Actually went back onto the hotel we'll be staying at, and there's a question answered 7 months ago that said resort fees aren't included. So there's that question answered :p At least we know to budget the extra!

Posted as this has been talked about recently. News on myVegas hotel comps.

Summary = new rules mean there is 1 MGM comp that can be redeemed for a 30 day period

    http://support.myvegas.com/hc/en-us/articles/204061869--Effective-April-1st-New-Room-Reward-Terms

Probably not a surprise given previous goalpost shifting. Sorry to those who were hoping to take advantage of the current rules.

This is just for rooms though? Fingers crossed it is!!

For at least a month TC were confusing themselves if they were included or not. People instore were giving different answers to a member of staff sitting next to them. The same web pages had different answers against the same holiday. It really was a joke. In the end they did put out a release to the stores clarifying that they were included till the end of March.

Yep - one MGM room comp per 30 days (which counts as one of your 3/30). Any room rewards purchased before today have the old rules applied to them, even if you haven't yet redeemed them

As has always been the case with this game - grab stuff as soon as you're within the redemption period because they can take things away with no notice at all!

Is there a set date when more hotel rewards will be offered - i.e. for stays after June or it just a case of keep checking?

Also, and I apologise because I know this has been raised over and over but I just need to get my head round the redemption period. Am I correct in thinking that I can get a reward hotel room more than 90 days ahead but not actually redeem the reward (i.e. book the actual room/dates I want) until I am at the 90 day date? For other rewards, e.g. buffet - I can only get the reward if I am in the 90 day redemption period.

    Hope that makes sense.

flightinfo - apparently the next set of dates will be on in May. That's what people are saying on the facebook groups, and it sounds like they've checked with myvegas.

For rooms you can redeem and book as long as the dates are on the calendar.

For buffets, you have to be within 90 days of when you plan to eat at the buffet.

    Hope that makes sense.

I did have a panic when I read about 1 reward, I was thinking it was only one reward instead of 3. Was really glad when I realised it was hotels only!! We've booked 3 nights between 2 of us, so I guess we wouldn't have been able to do that under the new rules.

We missed out on Mandalay Bay 2 dinner buffets when it disappeared. We have one more redemption but can't decide what to do. Slightly tempted by the Aria Bottomless Beverage pass, shame it's only one though. We'd then just pay for the other. Seems like a crappy redemption though at 3,500 points and only worth $12.99 but we're only on the strip for 5 nights and we have a LVA (to be used for 2 trips) so I think we have tons of buffet options.

Probably already been asked...but now that hotels rooms are down to one reward...does this mean you can still get 2 nights if you redeem one,and your other half redeem one.I have a feeling I read somewhere that it was one per address, rather than one per account.would still be happy if between me and the wife we could get 2 nights free,if it's only one per address I don't think we would bother with it.

this is why we skipped the LVA this year, we didn't use a single voucher out of last year's even going twice (I know it's bad we didn't at least use the freeplay vouchers). But we have so many favourite restaurants that with the MyVegas buffet freebies + the restaurants we love - we just ran out of meals and didn't use the LVA vouchers.

I do sometimes feel like the MV freebies aren't always things we are that fussed about but we go because we have them available. Mirage buffet is one that I am indifferent about but we have been the last 3 trips because hey, free. Aria lunch buffet has gone downhill, which is a shame as we really loved it the first couple of times...it is still perfectly pleasant, just not as good as it was.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

No worries and im sorry to hear that resort fees wont be included for you.if there other travel agents that might work for you?
My brother and i booked with mykindatravel and luckily for us the resort fees WERE included with our price, so maybe trying different travel agents may work?.

another thought is im sure i have read on myvages rewards page(cant remeber where) but people get things comped for a special occasions.e.g birthdays, anniversaries and so on, prehaps if you and of a person in your party has one of them if you mention it , the hotel MAY waiver soemthing(hopefully resort fees)
hope this may help you or any other users to this site , best of luck!!
